My penis and I - what do women think of penises?
JinjerTom Posted May 5, 2006
I wouldn't object to a male pill, but then I don't need anything as the missus has been spayed.
If I were to start sleeping around, the male pill would be excellent to avoid any little wild oats being scattered, but wouldn't do anything to stop STD's.
I've heard it said by women that they would not trust a guy to take the pill, but it works both ways...

i hear there are problems with the male pill with subsequent infertility- it may take some time before it has passed all it's trials. keep on with the old methods - there's something for everyone

The infertility side wouldn't bother me, as I have no intention of having kids (I like them, but it's good to give them back at the end of the day), but I can see that would be a problem for younger guys who want a temporary fix.

How does it work both ways, JT?
If a woamn forgets to take her pill, she runs the risk of getting pregnant. She's unlikely to do that unless that is her intention.
if a bloke forgets to take the male pill, it's not exactly the same consequences!

I can highly reccomend the menopause as a foolproof method of contraception & don't let them tell you that you end up a dried out old sexless prune.
However, it obviously doesn't stop you getting nasty bugs & stuff.
I would think the only failsafe way to ensure your (?) bloke has definitely taken his pill would be to feed it to him before embarking upon the naughties "You open wide dear, i will pop this in, then i will do likewise & so can you"

Ok so heres a question for the women, "You wake up one day with a penis (and i mean one of your own, attched and in full working order) and after getting over the shock of not being able to roll over out of bed what sort thoughts would you have"

I'd be mighty scared!
It would take some getting used to, I mean learning to control it must be like becoming a snake charmer.
Would I still have my other 'attributes'? That might be a bit weird!

With a penis, there is less chance of a urinary tract infection.....as bacteria have further to swim up to get to badder.
Its just another organ to get diseased I guess, Fun using it though.

I would LOVE to have a willy for a day (or night!)& would probably go absolutely rampant trying to explore all options as to what it felt like. I would think it would be a great way of understanding your male partners needs better. I often try & imagine what they feel but obviously it's impossible.
Hopefully in this fantasy, the partner of your choice also conveniently swaps gender? Or...hmm...that could be interesting too...Wouldn't it be great if we could simply decide "Ok, today i am male/nope, changed my mind, let's be a female today...."

Hi LS
Sorry for the late response - I haven't been online all weekend.
Looks like you answered your own question though.
I was raising the question of those (possibly very few) ladies, who have a consenting affair, fully aware that the guy doesn't want to get serious.
They don't want to use a condom, but she "forgets" to take the pill.
Surely a male pill would be a good idea in that case?
It's not always just the guy who's guilty, or careless, or unthinking.

Maybe....but I know that most of the people i know see contraception as the lady's responsibility.

I have a feeling that the male pill, won't take affect immediately + you will need to take it for a while until you build up sufficient concentrations in your blood. So it might not be any good for a 1 night stand situation, if the Guy is not on it already.
As I say the old methods are here to stay......oooooooohhhhhh I like the pure method though.great feeling + lots of fun. Do it again + again

Rains - Wondering where time's going and why it's in so much of a hurry! Posted May 9, 2006
Several of my exes all viewed contraception as the woman's responsibility , though my husband views it as a shared one .
One thing that would worry me about the male pill would be the long-term effects of it - although if you could get it in injection form, like depo-provera, that might cure the "can't remember to take a pill" issues. And of course, it probably wouldn't suit every man just like hormonal contraception doesn't suit all women... Hey ho. Maybe one day the government will sterilise us all at birth and only allow us kids once we've all taken and passed a parenting test....
I wouldn't want a willy of my very own... it's far too much fun playing with my husband's . I'd probably find it a real inconvenience when putting jeans on, and it wouldn't half disturb the hang of a skirt
