How/Why did you choose your nickname?
kasese<a rather confused individual, desperately seeking Harmony> Posted Jan 26, 2003
I was born in Uganda of Canadian parents. My father is an engineer. Kasese was at that time a VERY small village comprising of a few homes and an airstrip in which supplies were sent in for surrounding villages. I was born in Kilembe. My middle daughter's name is Kasese, meaning "Morning" in the Toro Dialect. There is a folk Lore story behind the word which is too long to go into.

Thanks cl zoomer, I think I prefer that explanation. I never actually asked them why thet called me it, though I was often asked by others what GT meant, I'd just tell them it had no particular meaning.

Tilly - back in mauve Posted Jan 31, 2003
Well, a couple of years ago in RL I got sick of people (many foreign) always mistaking my real name Tilde, to Hilde, Mathilde, Mathilda or just ~ . They mostly pronounced it wrong too.
Tilly was a bit more English-sounding, most people get the pronouncation right, and no one thinks I stole it from a type

Wulfric Posted Jan 31, 2003
Wulfric is Anglo-Saxon and means "Wolf power". It was a name, apparently, of a king of Sussex, amongst others. It has no significance to me other than I liked the sound of it.

Perseus Posted Jan 31, 2003
Well mine was originally a play on the slogan of a "well-known washing powder" as in Perseus - Washes whites whiter.
However it was kindly pointed out to me that this might have, erm, unagreeably BNP overtones, so I ditched the end bit and ended up just being the Greek bloke who rescued Andromeda from the sea serpent, before the two of them lived happily ever after.
Well I can dream can't I?

Beatrice Posted Jan 31, 2003
Mine was given to me by a friend, who said that good things happened to him when I was around
I've grown into more, so much so that I buy things shaped like stars , and will be attracted to anything with a star in its name.

I'm looking for a psuedonym. Preferably more interesting one than a real-sounding name. Something that means something like Jello Biafra . What methods are there for finding one?

Pick an interesting looking word and try to mangle it.
From your journal Hemy Blasp might be a nice name
