Have read up a bit more (ah, the wonders of Google!) and I think we're OK as long as we use our regular contraception. You lot are the only people that I've talked to about this (apart from Him Indoors, obviously!).

I wouldn't worry too much about condoms Rains, but I would try to abstain or use one for the couple of days coming up to the test. Is it another smear test they want you to have or a colposcopy?

Rains, try not to worry too much about the medical stuff, i had all that nonsense too many moons ago & nothing happened, but yes, they probably don't want stray tadpoles messing up the results.

By the way, viking has decided he has poorly bollywockles at the moment. I have advised him to relieve the pressure in the obvious way but he is whimpering. Any advice? It could just be tight jean syndrome, but would appreciate advice from you chaps if it may be something more serious. He says it's like being kicked in the nuts but its not continually painful.He is currently reclining in loose cotton trousers.

Any medical concerns in the genetalia department, should be seen by a suitably qualified practitioner as soon as possible.

I have no medical basis for this, but ... There have been times that a partial blockage of solid waste happens. Seemingly exerting some pressure on the prostate, ... And with some fairly direct connections and perhaps shared nerve clusters. I've passed through some tight and tender days, and then the multiple symptoms passed.

But as has been stated, when in doubt, get to a medic or a clinic.

Poor viking, I hope they've sorted themselves out by now...

can i go back to the swinging? we only touched on it briefly. i find i'm strangely fascinated by it now. i have not the opportunity,, or the inclination really, to go swinging at the moment. but i'm interested in the idea of people watching other people and maybe joining in etc, having come accross (truly by accident) a site that u can log on and say where is the best place to go dogging...apparantly a nearby cinema with a rooftop car park is the best place!! i have no intentions of going there.. but now i find myself curious about the whole subject ....

oh and by the way.. the swing someone mentioned is a contraption u hang from, i presume a ceiling, go google it, i'd be a year describing how it apparantly works, and looks incredibly complicated for 2 people to get into when in the height of passion.

There are some condoms which aren't made of rubber ... must be latex ... anyway, we found them much nicer than the ordinary sort in our condom days.

Wouldn't have thought it was worth going on the Pill for 6 months, because by the time you've found one that suits you it would be time to come off it. And if you want to be trying for a baby, you need to start recording your *natural* monthly cycles (ie, not the artificially induced Pill ones) now, so you have a good idea of what's "normal" for you before you start trying to conceive.

Can't really discuss swinging - no experience and no inclination!

What a day! Went to the drs to have a copper coil fitted this afternoon as a last resort as I can't seem to have anything else without it disagreeing with me!(condoms, the pill,injections etc) She tok three goes to get it to stay in and then later tonight i was at casualty with it hanging half out n causing quite a bit of pain ! anyone had similar probs?
