The Social Event of the Season

It seems very apt for the President of h2g2 to work in her dressing gown. Perhaps, Madam President, you could offset it with an attractive towel?

Well, that ghost thing was interesting... sorry about not getting you that drink Sol, I'm afraid things got to me a bit and I was forced to hang around in the kitchen as it were (I didn't forget to check the thread last night at all, honest!)

Not to worry. Henceforth if I'm not okay I'll make sure no one finds out about it.

Generally speaking I am quite liberal. But this whole trans-specied sexuality makes me uncomfortable. If the sheep must have it off with assorted marine mammals, I don't want to know about it.

It's the VP having it off with the Sheep you should worry about, there are laws against that kind of thing

*Pops out from behind a potted plant back in her basic and very durable black trouser and top set. She does appear to be wearing rather high and pointy boots though, in lieu of her usual sensible shoes, so obviously hasn't had enough of being tortured by clothes yet*
I think I'd fainted by the time the ghosts arrived. Don't worry though, Mr D - you really shouldn't pay any attention to me when I have a fan in my hand. It does something terrible about sending my southern belle glands into overdrive.
Perhanps we could virtually shift the VP's office to Wales? I'm sure he'd be safe there...

(Whispers) Madam President: how about offering the VP a transfer to the Ministry of Agriculture - which would, of course, make him too busy to continue as VP? He'd be less prominent in the Government, which might help to avoid major scandal.
He'd also presumably be very happy.

This is another example of why I have my own Spinmeister
What would happen if you had a squeaky clean, boring veep? All of your skeletons would come out of the closet.

Ah, of course. Protecting the President by misdirection. Cunning.

*arriving late* Is there any fried chicken left?
The Social Event of the Season
J Posted Nov 4, 2005
May I say before anyone else tries, that no, we don't have chicken but there's plenty of lamb waiting to be cooked up

Hypatia Posted Nov 4, 2005
Lil, the way Wolfgang cooks lamb, it tastes like chicken.
I don't know how many times I have to say this. We do not serve lamb or mutton in the Alabaster House Canteen. All of the vice president's little firends are completely safe. At least from becoming menu items.
