O.K. You're riding your bike to work on a cold morning, you decide you would like a cigarette but you have no matches. You spot a telephone engineer giving someone directions and you go over and ask him for a light.
'Sure', he says and promptly flicks his lighter on for you...It's windy and so he puts his hands around the flame to stop it going out... You lower your head to light that ciggie, when suddenly you notice a nice sized blob of your snot had dripped from your nose and has landed straight into the poor blokes hand....
Well luckily that didn't happen to me, but it did happen to a bloke named CORY KIRKHAM...

What's The Most Embarassing Thing That's Ever Happened To You
Tilly - back in mauve Posted Feb 18, 2002
A bit spooky, this one:
Last night, me and my mum went to an art gallery in Oslo, where we bumped in to a pretty famous Norwegian artist. My mom, always having a sympathetic face, got into a long converstion with him, where he at all times kept a very irritating attitude each time he talked to me.
When he was gone, my mother asked me what I thought about him; I told her that I thought he was a "vicious, snotty and ugly little man". I have a pretty close relationship with my mum and I trusted her to keep my opinion to herself.
Then all was well and allright, until less than two minutes ago, actually while I was reading the massive backlog to this topic, wondering what to write, the famous artist called my mum, and she actually told him what I had said! !! She told me that he just laughed at the whole affair, but I guess he won't be buying me more lemonades!
I guess I will forgive her, with time...
(Oh, and this is not by far the most embarassing that has happened to me, it just was spooky that it happened while I was reading the backlog)

Just to add a little anecdote to my last story; My mum actually never told him. She just sayd that she wanted to test my reaction. Boy, did I turn that to a lose-lose situation! It would have passed so quietly, if I wouldn't instantly put it on the net!
Well, well...
I'm sorry to confess that I don't have any embarassing sex-stories. I guess I've led a boring life.
But I have an embarrassing story involving my knickers though!

I don't seem to get embarassed by stuff at the time - but sometimes I'll look back on something I did a while ago, and *cringe* horribly. Like A340110, for example.

Excellent. Something to do tonight instead of watching TV!
Will report back tomorrow with results.

Oh, the amount of times I've done silly things while eating.
Just last night- I was working, waiting tables in a restaurant, and the bar maid made a delicious milkshake, and put the left-overs in the kitchen. Now, I had to serve 3 tables, and really fancied that milkshake, so of course I drank too fast, and half of it spilled on my white shirt. Then i marched out of the kitchen, and went on as usual.
But the funniest so far, was a few years ago. You know the scenes in movies where people drop their forks in amazement? Well- I can't remember what amazed me so much, but I was eating in my Kibbutz's dining hall, which is big, and I was talking to my ex, and in the shock, I dropped my fork on my plate. It rang so loudly, I don't think there was anyone there who didn't get a scare.

Just discovered this thread and had a very entertaining hour or two reading the backlog. Several LOL incidents. Unfortunately, I have to go home now (I'm at work) and can't post my own stories.
But I'll be back.

Late one night, after choir practice, I decided to visit a sweet shy friend who had recently tried to make a pass at me (we were interrupted ).
I thought I'd give him another chance.....
So there we were, sitting and smoking his home-grown tomato plants
when who should turn up but the completely awful, recently estranged, husband of a mutual friend.
Shy friend gets up and goes into kitchen to make tea.
Pompous opinionated twit sits down in the chair facing mine, opens his trousers and proceeds to ... well ... how can I say this?
I was 25.
I'd led a sheltered life.
The nuns hadn't taught me what to do in that particular situation.
So I just ignored him and carried on making small talk.
(Well, what would you have done? )
To this day I haven't figured out whether my friend was ignoring him too, through either politeness or toe-curling embarrassment, whether he just couldn't see that far (he was incredibly short-sighted), or whether he was just too stoned to care.
John, if you should happen to be reading this.......
