What's The Most Embarassing Thing That's Ever Happened To You
Argon0 (50 and feeling it - back for a bit) Posted Jan 11, 2002
Its back - though red....
Update is: it hasn't been sent around the whole Web.... yet.
What happened is, I e-mailed a colleague, who used to sit opposite me something (I know not what) and apparently there was a link to this thread at the bottom of it (how that happenned I also have a blind doe) he followed that and read some stuff - notably something I supposedly typed about him being a Space Cadet (or similar), and mentioned it to another colleague, she mentioned it to yet another colleague who asked "space cadet" what it was about - he sent her the E-mail and she followed it up - recognising my "call-sign" - and then she "confided" in me that she'd seen it, sent to her by someone - I assumed it was from the outside world, etc....

A couple years ago I went roller blading party, it was a hot summer day hence wore a reasonably short dress some guy thought it would be funny to rugby tackle me whilst going around the rink, I fell face first, skirt flew tucked tightly over my head blinding my sight, breasts failed to act as breaks, underwear coming down rapidly the further around the rink i went. Eventually came to a halt bringing professional skaters crashing to the ground. Had to crawl on my hands and knees to the side of the rink where I got a standing ovation!!!

So it was YOUR fault all along then Argon0
I suppose it is probably safe to start posting embarrassing things again, I doubt it will spread too far. Its not as if it was in the "link of the day" from some National magazine or such like
BTW nice call Redd69

Most embarrassing thing over the weekend:
Saying F**K in front of GFs family when an Urban Myth came true...
(.. liquid heated in Microwave CAN explode - due to Super-Heated steam - happened to me with Custard...)

Saying Fu*k is the least embaressing thing you can do to GF's (or BF's, in my case) parents.
His parents came all the way from the UK to visit us in Israel. I was suppose to take them to a nice place we have here, sort of an animal reservation. It was, obviously, closed. Never mind- I'll take them somewhere else- about an hour and a half drive away. I did. I got lost in the city, and missed my exit to the damn place when I've finally found it. So I just took them back home. They got to see allot of cars!

Billy Connnolly tells a similar story about being driven in london by Ralph McTell and getting increasingly lost.
After a while an agitated and frustrated Billy turns to Ralph and says "tell me Ralph, you did write that song didn't you - you know the one that goes 'let me take you by the hand and take you through the streets of f**king London' "

*cannot believe that he has forgot about this *
It's one that Mrs Red Dog heard from a friend who is a jeweller. A customer apparently walked into his shop and asked his trainee sales assistant what designs they had of 9 ct gold crosses in stock. The assistant replied by asking whether she would like a plain one or one with the little man on it

Whilst travelling on the new jubilee line on London's undergound system, my friend and I, due to some unfortunate alcohol consumption, were having an "argument" that degenerated into slurred name calling.
When it came to his stop, he got off the train and stumbled off down the platform. I rushed to the doors to shout abuse at him and as the doors closing warning sounded, leant back into the carriage. What I did not realise was that there atre two sets of doors - one on the platform, which closed in front of my face, and one on the train, which closed on my head. I was firmly stuck, and had to wait for the other passengers to stop laughing before they could pull the doors open and let me out.

Another Colleague told me a good story about their experience on the Tube, I shall mull it over before deciding whether to post it here or not!
