The Manchester Marrow Meet
The Science of Star Trek Exhibition is on at the Manchester Museum of Science and Technology. Your Committee thought it may be of interest to some members!! (Non-members will be very welcome and will qualify for membership of the FCAMSASC). The cost will depend on the number attending, but concessions are available so don't forget your student card/bus pass/little piece of plastic that never really gets you into anywhere free.
Anyone interested in going to a Manchester Marrow Meet, then look no further. Have your say on when the meet should be held here. The date's under consideration are 24th August, 31st August or the 21st September.Alton Towers Meet 2002
After the success of the first Alton Towers meet in 2001, another bigger, better meet-up is being planned for 2002. As per last year, this will be a weekend-long meet, with accomodation in the form of camping/caravans, at The Star campsite near Alton Towers. The Environmental Society
The Environmental Society welcomes all h2g2 and
sense-of-place site members, to the brand new Environmental Society. This hopes to be a
place where members of all the various dna sites can come together and meet others with
an interest in the environment.

The Campsite
The h2g2 Campsite was set up by Abi as a place to stay
whilst researchers went to the h2g2 Festival in the Park in the year 2000.
Now it has been re-opened for business, so if you want to join in the fun, then take a trip
over to the Campsite, pitch your tent and become one
of the happy h2g2 campers.

create a Top 10 Cd list for h2g2. If you would like to tell her your list of favourites,

H2G2 Living Earth Society
The h2g2 Living Earth Society hopes that you will
visit and join in discussions about all sorts of natural earth phenomena.
'This is an area where people with an interest in the forces affecting our home planet
can come to discuss news items of interest, share their experiences, seek advice and read
interesting guide entries related to natural phenomena on our planet.'.

The Feminist Alliance
Feminists want an end to sexism and are NOT male-bashers, want to find out more
then take a look at the h2g2 Feminist Alliance which
hopes
'to raise awareness, and efface the negativity and stereotypes associated with
feminism'.
PUDDING

Depression, Irritability and Natural Grumpiness. It's a new society on h2g2,
who believe it is alright to feel whatever you want to feel, be it happy or sad, it might

The H2G2 Sprint
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a virtual racer, well here's your
chance, visit The H2G2 Sprint and take up the
challenge.
'It's just a bit of fun to explore the possibilities of virtual racing around a virtual
track. The idea is to complete the H2G2 sprint track in the shortest time.'
