how cool was that!!!

GreyDesk Posted Sep 21, 2004
That was pretty good. Of the cast I would say that only Mark Wing-Davy's voice has changed significantly with age. So you can almost close your eyes and pretend that the last, what is it, 25 years hasn't happened.

I'm quite happy the last 25 years has happened. 25 years ago there were no way I would have been able to listen to it.
YAY!

I agree GD, that Mark Wing-Davey's voice as changed, however, as he was meant to be drunk more or less the whole time ... join the dots ...

Did I mishear, or didn't Trillian ask Zaphod about that and the whole thing (i.e. the whole second series) was explained away as a 'psychotic episode' on Zaphod's part, that he was found wandering round the Hitchhikers offices still looking for Zarniwoop?
Very Dallas
Whoop! Loved the mattresses. And I thought M W-D was trying to do 'very drunk Zaphod' too.

Here's hoping the rest of the series continues in such a quality manner - even if the occasional 'artistic licence' enables the aforementioned "turnip" to occur where the book and the radio prog. don't fully coincide ....
