I couldn't work out how to tell the digital radio how to go to R4; it was really quite weird tuning in the radio the 'old' way

I figured out how to use old skool tuning on the DAB easily enough . I think that I want Santa to bring me a Zem - flollop!

DVD ? Don't you mean the CD? According to south american rainforest co uk, Tertiary Phase is released on double CD on October 25th.

Double CD? That must be a masterpiece of "overburning"... Or else they cut the titles off...?
I burned the first two onto an audio CD, and would have had about 15 minutes left on a "standard" CD, or 25 minutes on an extended one. Not really enough room for 3 episodes per disc.

TiT, I captured them as AVIs with video, then converted them to 192kb/s MP3s, which I converted back to audio CD using RealPlayer.

That would have been too technical for me. I already had my Digibox wired to record video, so I just did that, then converted it later.
