Here in the U.S. where we go DD/MM/YY...
On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.
That won't ever happen again.
You may now return to your previously scheduled life.

we always seem to get things after the Americans these days. I suppose we'll have to wait nearly a month for the same thing to happen here.

Actually, it will happen again. But not in our lifetime (unless a very precocious baby is reading this). The next time will be in 2106, then 2206, 2306...

Of the arrangements for arranging dates on a computer, MM/DD/YY is the least logical and most amenable to error.
Good job it's the one the US military use, eh?

The U.S. Military uses the more common DD/MM/YYYY format. U.S. civilians use MM/DD/YYYY.
Following the horrid events of September 11th was the Anthrax Letter scare. Immediately foreign terrorists were suspected. Yet, the date on the letters was written in the MM/DD/YY format ("09-11-01"). No arrests have yet been made.

"Technically, is it possible to read shakespeare underwater?"
I heard an interesting fact. If you learn something underwater then you will, at a future time, be better at recalling the information underwater than you will be on dry land.
(Interesting but useless, no?)
