In France, the last trial by combat decreed by the Parlement of Paris took place on 29th December 1386. It was originally scheduled to take place on 24th November 1386, but was put back by a month so that the king, who had to travel back from Sluys, could attend. The combatants were Chevalier Jean de Carrouges and Jacques de Gris, escuier. Carrouges accused de Gris of raping his (Carrouges's) wife, Marguerite. Carrouges won, which was just as well for Marguerite - she'd have been burned alive for swearing a false oath.

I watched MirrorMask this weekend. In the bonus material I saw this compleatly cool but utterly useless fact.
There are 42 digital in the film.
(I think several of them make repeat appearances though.)

Trial by combat wasn't abolished in the UK until 1819.

Time travel is possible.By flying up to a black hole, you will travel forward in time. But you would probably get pulled in a horrible spaghetti-like death. And it would take years to get to the nearest black hole, along with the paying for, and building of the spaceship. And to travel forwards in time, go faster than the speed of light - which is impossible.

he cant of meant wormholes as they are too tiny, and you wouldnt have to build a spaceship and travel aaages to find one, theres probably a few already in your average back garden.
Besides arent wormholes black?

So, really, technically, they should actually be caled Not-So-Black Holes then?
Hmmmm. Whatever. I would hazard that whatever they are actually called it would be physically impossible for a shark to vomit in one*
* but, if they could, that would be time travelling vomit, which is one helluva concept.
"Ugh who threw up in here"
"I did, sorry"
"ahh whne did it happen?"
"Yesterday, you see tomorrow my Pint is going to be off."

anyway, it is improbable that you could travel in time by falling through a black hole. its more likely that you would end up smooched against the singularity at the bottom. and black holes are ringed aith light. and a shark probably could vomit into one.
