[Yar] Well, I .... hmm. I'm definitely not dumb enough to try a /fire/ spell on 'im. Howabout a spell more powerful than Ultima? What'd that do?

[Corrigible] ... Don't tell me you've managed to draw a few Apocalypse spells from something.

[Joseph] [fires his rifle at Ghoti again] And given what happened when you /did/ cast Ultima, I don't want you to /try/ something /more/ powerful.

KL-Yar's spells grow more powerful the longer it takes to defeat an opponent. This has been demonstrated time and time again over history.

*Joseph misses. However, Siren's most recent blast seems to hit its target again, causing an incredibly violent mental scream to issue forth from somewhere in the water. When it subsides, several water-based buzz-saws emerge from the water and begin approaching the various heroes*

[Corrigible] So, the best time to defeat him in combat is before the actual combat begins, huh? Makes sense ...

[Siren does her sonic blast thing again.]

*Watches helplessly as a buzzsaw nears the tree.*

Got any ideas?

[Yar] [adopts a "spellcasting" pose] Well, I /could/ cast Apocalypse, which technically isn't fire-elemental ...

NO!

*Holds her hat in front of her face as the buzzsaw nears the tree.*

*Archimedes appears to be infuriating one of the saw blades by constantly teleporting around it. KL, meanwhile, is trying to will himself further up the tree, and is pulling off the occasional stick and tossing it at the nearing blades*

[Corrigible, at the last minute, zips to the side and attempts to slash the sawblade with his lightsaber.]

[Woogy is still floating on the water, apparently unable to do anything, so he's hit head on.]

[Woogy] [the F-word scribbled out] OW!11!!!!111

[Joseph fires at the sawblade with his shotgun.]

[Siren uses her sonic attack on the sawblade approaching her.]

[Yar shoots up into the air without regard for things like gravity.]

*Has gotten into sort of a rhythm of scrambling up the tree and sliding back down, so the sawblade comes close but doesn't quite hit her. Her shredded pantlegs are another story entirely.*

How did you do that?

*The Sawblade's all collapse at the exact time that they are hit by their relative weapons. This probably has more to do with Siren's previous blast managing to hit Ghoti just right, but little indicates that. In theory, one might notice the tiny little Goldfish that's just gone belly up near the opposite end of the pond, but it honestly isn't important at this point*

[Yar] [hovering upside-down near Scandrea] Just because I'm a Jedi Red Mage now instead of a Jedi Knight doesn't mean I've given up on the Force completely.

** Whatever.

*Slides down the tree, and goes to look for Laguna. Finds the goldfish.*

*KL Jumps from the tree and lands next to Scandrea*

I don't suppose you'd let me keep that fish, would you? It would be very interesting to see how this Ghoti differed from mine....

*Nods, steps out of the way, and continues looking for Laguna.*

*Burford steps through the door from the casino. He looks around and notices the damp, disheveled look of the others. Looks cross.*



I go to take a leak, and you guys decide to have a water fight! Did it never occur to you that I might have wanted to join in the fun too?

*Sulks*

*Splashes Burford.*

[Laguna] HAO R j00 GETANELMEN!!!1!1!1!!111

[Joseph] ... Darn, he survived.

[Woogy] YEZZ INDEEEEEEE!D!!1!11

[Corrigible] [mutter] Yar, I hate your guts, but I'll credit you with at least not being an Arfenhouse character.

[Yar] [mutter] The feeling is mutual.

*Looking slightly less cross, Burford splashes Scandrea back.*

*Gets wet*

So... onto the next room, I suppose...
