*A long, lonely marsh sits here, with a door leading back to The Casino seeming to stand in mid-air (though attempting to step behind the door reveals an invisible wall or force field of some sort). In the far, far, far distance, a rectangle of light, possibly another door, appears to be standing in midair as well. Stretching between the two doors lies a good portion of marshland, with tiny muddy islands, puddles/ponds that are too murky to see a bottom in, the occasional tree branch, that sort of thing. A dead tree stands on the island (the largest island) in the center of the area between the two potential doors*

*A sign sits on the island that the door leading back to the Casino rests on*


How do you spell ?

*Rushes through the door, panting.*

Didn't Burford come through here?

*KL enters, followed by Archimedes*

KL-Don't try to understand that little aspect of our lives. Save yourself the trouble.

*Burford reads the sign.*

How do you spell ?

Well, that's easy: the "f" sound is made by the gh in "rough"...

We need an "ih" sound and a "sh" sound...

KL-I've got a bad feeling about this...

*Prods the ground ahead of her experimentally with the toe of her boot.*

[Joseph, Woogy, Laguna, and Darth Corrigible (who is dragging Yar) arrive]

[Without hesitation, Laguna attempts to cross the marsh.]

*Gets in Yar's face, and speaks softly.*

Yar? Never. Do that. Again.

*Turns to watch the results of Laguna's attempts to cross the marsh.*

Does this happen often with him?

*Laguna is killed instantly*







*Not that this has any bearing to the scenario at hand. The marsh, if walked upon by anyone else (excluding Woogy) would've been safe. But no, Laguna? Dead. Dead as a doornail. Can't be brought back in this or any subsequent adventures. Bye bye, Laguna*






*Okay, no. Laguna's cool, and survives. But his feet are a tad damp now*

Maybe a "tz" or "cz" as in tsar for the "s" sound? And a Y for the I?

[Joseph] I have yet to see /anyone/ from that universe do anything intelligent. Uh ... I think that the 'sh' is done by TI, as in dalmatian, or generation.

Archimedes-Or intertia, come to think of it....so we've got ghyti or ghycz?

The "ti" is more correct. The cz doesn't have a "sh" sound.

[Laguna continues on his way, trying to reach the far door.]

*Laguna's passed the tree at the half-way point by now. Nothin' yet*

He /seems/ to be doing all right... maybe it isn't booby trapped.

[Corrigible] Five bucks says he's going to find merely some kind of impenetrable barrier.

[Yar] I think the middle letter is supposed to be O, but I forget why.

The O in World kind of has the same i sound as in fish, doesn't it?
