h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*dives into bushes, swears violently at bruised head*

*whispers* You all right, sea?

*something rolls past the bush, rolls back, jups off it's mount (it looks something like a black-cloaked toad) seems to be peering at the bush, lifts a leg, puts a leg back down, goes over to a nearby tree, pees for what seems like forever, gets back on it's mount, rolls away*

*whispers* I was right! It was a hedgehog!

*mutter mutter profanity mutter*

yeah, i'm fine. i've got a hard head.

*pause*

what's a hedgehog? it didn't look like a furry animal...

........hmmmm..........are they dangerous........?

*disappears entirely into the bushes while she follows the hedgehog as it travels down the road. once it reaches a safe distance, she loops back and comes up behind her companions without making a noise*

Well, whatever it was, it appears to be gone now.

*notices that the others jumped, not expecting her to be behind them*

Well, I AM a ranger...

Shall we be off again?

*holds chest, heart pounding, gives G7 a don't-DO-that look*

yes, let's go.

*climbs out of bushes, still rubbing head*

Jade: Ooh, we're off. *to Yow* I dunno if they're dangerous... Perhaps they are. *she shrugs nonchalantly and fiddles with the large silver chain about her neck, with a small gold ring hanging on it *cough*foreshadowing*cough* I can't immagine why they'd be after us...

*catches the foreshadowing as any good ranger would do and moves closer to JJ as they walk, hand resting on the hilt of the sword that appeared at her waist, looking observently around*

Foreshadowing is fun!!!

*hums quietly to herself*

.............so where exactly are we off to right now? Is it the inn? or can we fight somthing first

*Meanwhile, in the Prancing Pony, GL calls for another pint while he waits for his friends.*

*randomly devises a plan (with the most minute sense of breeching continuity, only not really,) so as Yow can blow something up like we all know he wants to

*All of the sudden, a hairy ugle smelly hairy thing jumps out of the bushes and grabs Jade by the waist. He is running (conveniently enough, in the general direction of the Prancing Pony, which, conveniently enough, is just about a half mile or so up the road)*

Giving anyone and everyone about... saaayyy... 5 or so posts in which to a) save me, and b) get to the Prancing Pony and meet up with Garius-the-nice-danger-man and get a Pint ("It comes in pints...? I'm getting one.")

Jade: Hey! *begins pounding on the back of the hairy ugle smelly hairy thing with angry, angry fists*

Hairyguy: *giggles, runs*

Blast! They didn't have these at the time

< and jumps onto the back of the scary monster hary thing. He swings the sword and with a mighty mighty blow severs the hand of the green hairy evil thing that is holding onto JJ. Yo then pulls the primitive sparkler/lighter on the top of the POE and throws it down the evil thing's throat. Yo/Aragon jumps off the back of the evil thing as it begins to beltch fire. This fire sets it's hair on fire and it runs off into the woods>

.......yeah! that was beautiful......hey look there's the Prancing Pony.......

/doesn't notice the flaming evil green previously hairy thing has set light to a couple parts of the forest/

oops, didn't reply to the right post...... it all works eh?

I think it works beautifuly, Yow. Or Z. Or whoever. I can't remember. But whoever saved me, s to you! ()

*She selfconsiously says "ale" instead of "Pint" because she wants to do that joke later*

Oh hey! Did everyone hear that fellowship got a whopping 13 nominations for the Oscars? Yay! We should have a biiiiig party in the Prancing Pony for that one... , and such, ye ken?

*Tries to jump up as his friends enter the PP, but only succeeds in tipping a load of empty glasses off of his table. The resounding crash draws the attention of his friends. GL holds up the full glass he had in his hands.*
