It'd be difficult for me to give anything away about my character, since I haven't gotten his description yet. I assume he's a he. Anyway, thanks for holding this lovely party, GL, and I hope you've got one heck of a good time planned.

By the way, when we do get our descriptions, are we allowed to add little things that will make /their/ characters fit in more reasonably with our online personas?

The character descriptions will be up as soon as I can scan them and clean them up. I just put up the one for the Second Mate and yours will be going up next, in a few minutes (it's scanned, but not cleaned).

As for adding stuff, the description tells you what the character is like, but there is lots of room for interpretation.

Ooh, I'm getting all excited now. Improvisational acting is a natural thing for Zannis (italian clowns like Arlecchino).

I've never actually read "Speaker for the Dead". Just the first in the series. I really couldn't get into the rest. Oh well. G7, it's nice that you've joined us. I guess we're not allowed to talk about our characters much here, but maybe you could tell us just the name of the character you'll be playing?

Don't worry about it, Arl. Card seems to follow a pattern in his books: The first one is ok, the second is really good, then the third one is sooo horrible you can't believe its the same author. At least that's what I have noticed.

*looks around to see if GL has prohibitted telling everyone who we are early. sees that he hasn't. *
