Good to hear, G7, thanks!
And I like to read your article about the house, though I hear it all in the Atelier.
The house remodelling's going very well, thanks. I've been able to stop working on it myself luckily, and most work appears to have ceased since my granddad left for home a couple of days ago. But the new insulation and flooring's down now, and we're working on the floor heating.

Floor heating - how ritzy! It'll be nice to take a proper shower and get out of it to a warm floor, I'm sure.
I am in the process, now, of finding out the worst two things involved with buying a house: waiting and paperwork. I am busy filling out forms and photocopying documents, yet I still feel like nothing is getting done. Very frustrating, but worth it in the long run.
Oh, and I've picked out the paint for the downstairs bathroom. A truly lovely and vibrant blue called Chambray.

Actually, I don't know if I mentioned this before now, but we've had a new pump fitted in the current main bathroom, so I've been able to have proper showers for a couple of weeks now.
Indeed, buying a new house is always worth the bother.
Oh, my whole room's painted blue. I find it a very good colour for walls.

Morning all. The sky in Godzone is painted blue today

Funny that, Loony. The ceiling of the Big Blue Room is also painted blue. Perhaps that is why they call it the Big Blue Room after all.

Today was mostly grey across a large part of england. It did clear up when I took a walk earlier and made the canal and river almost look pretty (pretty what I hear you cry).
Just got back from seeing Shrek, very good movie

Hi, Loony. Glad to hear that you have blue skies. (Although, here in Colorado at least, blue skies in winter means that its even colder...)
The Big Blue Room is now going blue and white. And I have the feeling that its going to be redone in greys before much longer.
Glad to hear that you liked Shrek, OP! It is a great movie.

I don't know what's wrong with my mind today -- as I read these posts everybody -- that includes Americans, New Zelanders, and anyone from anywhere else -- has British accents.

It appears that I will be the last person in the known universe to see Shrek. I really want to see it but have not had the time to do so.

Pah! I will claim that title, Marv!
Well, I have a most distinctive, not to mention dignified, British accent, Arl.

*Hides from Ming.*
Maybe she won't notice me still on h2g2.
Soz Ming. I always leave the instant messengers first, then wrap up on h2g2.

I hereby move to make Shrek the official movie of this thread.
Uncomfortable silence.
Well, maybe not.

I guess now is a good time to point out that one of the top creative people who worked on Shrek, Adam Adamson, is a New Zealander

Well I really would like to see this film, but have not had the time. I was going to see it yesterday, but they were sold out for the showing I wanted. I saw Kiss of the Dragon instead. Which was a good martial arts flick for those that care.

Shrek is excellent. For just random lunacy and a good giggle or two, I recommend Cats & Dogs, though. We went and saw it the afternoon of the Fourth (after all, can't interfere with the fireworks!) and I myself . Any movie where the line "Bad...talking...cat..." is delivered by Jeff Goldblum has to be a trip. Its a law, I'm sure of it.

Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted Jul 9, 2001
I've seen the trailer. I didn't think it was going to be my kind of movie - but I'm fairly sure I was wrong. Does anyone know the UK release date?

I show that its due to be released there on Aug 3. I really did get a kick out of it, although I will warn everyone that they'll need to leave the real world outside. Some of it is believable but the truly amusing stuff is not even close.
