Hmmm. Here's a question. What did B17 do with Galaxy Babe on Sunday that "wasn't too bad"? I think we should be told .

*The computer in the library flickers out of hibernate mode and the monitor suddenly comes on, showing Lil sitting in a hotel room looking tired and bedraggled* Hello everybody, sorry I'm not there to check calling cards and hear what you're talking about, but I have to be careful of the amount of time I'm online. Big surcharges apply after so many minutes. But Arle, I really care about the issue of global warming and look forward to ranting about it when I'm able to! The appraisal came through at a little above the closing price, so the sale of the house is final. Huzzah! I might actually sleep tonight. It was another irritating day, spent sitting on a barstool in an empty house waiting for the builder fellow to effect about half a dozen repairs. I was so tired this morning that I felt nauseous, and what I really wanted to do was shuck off everything I was wearing and throw the clothes in the washer while I took a bath, but with the builder fellow futzing about this wasn't possible. So I board Amtrak in dirty jeans tomorrow... :-( I also wanted to go see a few friends and colleagues but couldn't because of plodding builder fellow. And maybe it's best this way, that I leave with a sense of irritation about Lakeland, traumatised by the traffic, sodden with the heat and the humidity, tired of the responsibilities ... glad to go. If surcharges and long distance allows, I'll look in next Sunday. New conversation begins at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F38024?thread=127281&skip=0&show=20 love, Asterspring Onionlil
