Pah! Amy's disallowed my bid! The residents on board the Space Station will not like this at all. They have rights too, you know...
Hmm, I'd best be off...
I'll be back tomorrow.
Toodlepip!
*Teleports off......*
*Sends probes to follow Amy wherever she goes, just to annoy her for spoiling his fun...*
*May I ask why people allow other people do to strange things, and then say "Oh, no you can't do that" as soon as the Professor comes along? Eh?*

Actually, in this instance, I can understand why, Chris.
I have been following the thread from the beginning, and it is very informative. This is just a fitting end to the initial question posed by Peregrin, and I applaud Amy for running the Auction. It demonstrated both the question and the answer quite well, I feel

Its probably for the best that your bid was rejected, Prof. Have you thought about putting yourself up for bid?
Looney, hullo! How goes things tomorrow?
B17, I have to agree. The entire discussion was - and continues to be - facinating.

Just to set the record straight, I never actually "purchased" this other person's soul. He temporarily traded it to me so that he could borrow one of my "Weird Al" CDs. I was getting fed up with waiting for him to return my CD, and I also wondered about the ethics of being in possession of someone else's soul, even if it is for only a short period of time (not being an Atheist, I worry about these things.) So, I relented and gave back this person's soul. Amazingly enough, this did seem to trigger a much faster return of the CD.

I'd put myself up for auction... I need the money

I'd send you some money, but then you would know where I live. I've discovered that it's actually easier to remain anonymous when things are being mailed *to* you than it is to remain anonymous while you mail things to others.

I accept western union and money grams. You could be in Chile, saying you're sending from Taiwan...

The Average Joe No One EVER Suspects Posted Mar 30, 2001
So... you're accustomed to sending shady money to other people all over the world then? If so I REALLY need some cash. IRS just screwed me over for $200. Bloody taxes.

I think I'll not bid on the poor guy. Someone said he was blonde and 6 ft tall? Well, I have no use for him. I'm 6'2', 6'3" in my really big boots, and brown haired. And, it gotten me nothing.

I actually did a few tax things today. The next step is to install Turbotax and answer all the questions.
And I went over to that thread, which is really quite good, and bid on the quiet 21-year-old ex-boyfriend of Mrs V's. *smiles lasciviously* Professor, I think yoour bid on Peregrin was too pre-emptive. Omnipotence really irritates some people, you know.
Meanwhile, it's raining cats and dog in central Florida, huzzah! It'll be more snow for you, Sporky, I'm afraid.

Hi sea, we simulposted... just as I'm heading off to bed. I hope I am allowed to post here more often over the weekend. Perhaps we should elevate the hootoo server to idol status and leave burnt email offerings or something.

SeA I am sure that tall girls do not exsist. I am 6'4" barefoot and I have met not one tall enough to look me in the eye who was not allready taken or married or something. I have had to change my criteria for the perfect girl to allow for rather short ladies. I have lowered the height limitation to 5' even. Come to think of it, the last two girls I dated were both over a foot shorter than I.
ObGames.. I have been playing Serious Sam [URL not allowed pthhh] all night tonight. The critters never cease!!!!!
