Coniraya Posted Jun 1, 2004
*with her back pressed up against the dispenser, the rapid reverse doesn't appear to agree with her*
Ooooh, I'm beginning to get motion sickness!

Garius Lupus Posted Jun 1, 2004
*As GL rolls around the deck, he thinks back to the things that the water creature has said. Something sticks in his mind..."I've got treasure, I've got plenty of fish to keep me company, and I've nearly finished a splendid castle for myself at the bottom. All it lacks is the final slab to be a suitable demesne."...
A castle ~at the bottom~! Whoever or whatever controls the water lives in a castle at the bottom of the lake! What we need is a really good depthchar...Oh.

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Jun 1, 2004
*finds her way back to her seat, refastens her safety belt, sets the nanogun to GARAGE DOOR REMOTE, but wait s to see the effect of the depth charge*

Garius Lupus Posted Jun 1, 2004
*GL continues to around and think*
So, if this guy lives in the water, the music must have worked because the sound waves were shaking him up. Hmmmmm....
*GL waits until he rolls near the CD player, then grabs onto it. With some difficulty, he changes CD's and cranks the volume even higher. Moments later, the opening chords ring out for ACDC's "You shook me all night long"*

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Jun 1, 2004
*still crawling, still flat on her stomache*
*quickly grabs hold of the umbrella*
Sorry d'E!

/* into Titania after the latest raft reversal */
No problem, T. If we keep this up, Ghoti will give up in no time.
<-- delighted to have everyone crawling or tumbling around the raft bottom, starts licking faces indiscriminately

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Jun 2, 2004
*Brings the raft to a stop just as the depth charge goes off*

Ghoti Posted Jun 2, 2004
*The wall of water vibrates a great deal as the depth charge goes off, though the wall itself is still very much intact. The vibrations (still very strong looking) work their way to the bottom of the wall before spreading out*
Heh! Is that the best you people can do?
*Ghoti's humanoid "body" grows to about twenty feet tall and looms over the raft menacingly*
You know, I was wrong. This'll be fun! The dragons off the map really do have the right idea.
*Ghoti winds up his fist and prepares to smash the boat, but just then notices the spreading shockwaves from the depth charge getting dangerously close to the bottom of the lake*
Eh? Ah. OH!
*Ghoti winces in what looks like pain before the cannon, giant hand, and twenty-foot tall body all waver before turning back into unformed water and collapsing back to the lake (which, since Ghoti was looming over the raft, could very well cause everyone to drown). The wall of water, while mostly remaining intact, does shimmer a good deal. Spots of the wall become visibly weaker, and portions of it "dry up" altogether creating small openings*
Woah....head rush....I'm not beaten....yet!

soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Jun 2, 2004
*In all the craziness, sea manages to drop the jar of kitty litter into the raft*
OOOPS!

Amos the Ranchhand (and Driver) Posted Jun 2, 2004
*some of the kitty litter goes down the back of Amos's neck, just as he was about to draw the shillelagh back and toss another bolt of energy at the standing wave*
Aaargh!!
*the energy bolt shoots straight down to the bottom of the lake, straight at Ghoti's castle*
