IIEM, a very large caffeinated beverage. Don't care what it is, just give me something with caffeine that tastes good.

I like the poem, Egon. The last line, though seems to fall out of the meter - where the word fair is, should be a 2 syllable word, I think. How about: "Crushed in your open hand"? The "open" makes the the reader pause and think, since it is unexpected and can lead to several deeper meanings. Just the thing for a poem.
Of course, feel free to ignore this. I've never written a line of poetry in my life. Doggerel, yes, poetry, no.

also, while writing that poem, I wasn't trying to make it fit, like I normally do- it was just an instant, emotional reaction to my girlfriend calmly informing me she was leaving me to go to Canada. On the piffling grounds that she was a Canadian.

I suppose that could have been a solution.
Damn- where were your helpful suggestions eight months ago?

IIEM, a Mog's Special please...
-12ºC(10ºF) yesterday morning and +1ºC(34ºF) today - I loathe this semi-winter-thingy which gives you an impression of drifting into and out of various climate zones!
...and I saw on the news that mainland Greece had snow yesterday - after having had +25ºC(77ºF) just a few days ago. The weather does seem to go haywire these days!

Turkey have also had a lot of snow, we have got non-weather here: mildish, no wind, grey and generally depressing.
