The Aroma Café: Past Christmas
Garius Lupus Posted Feb 13, 2004
My wife and daughter love Valentine's Day, so it's usually a big deal around our house. Last night my daughter and I made the card we will give to my wife. Took us about an hour of snipping hearts out of different patterned paper and glueing them onto cardstock. Then I made up a poem for inside and my daughter was all impressed. Somehow that led into limericks, and I made up a couple on the spot to show her how they worked. She thought they were great fun and made me make up a bunch more.

Well, it *is* about time that we get a new thread going so... I'm going to let the cleaning bot out of the closet...
*locks door so that no poor unsuspecting researcher comes walking in during the cleaning process*
I'd advice everyone in here to either:
a) Find a safe place out of reach for the cleaning bot
b) Evacuate using the tunnel leading to the Atelier
For those of you who haven't been around during the most recent clean-ups: the cleaning bot is *very* thorough and *very* bent on cleaning *everything* - unfortunately that seems to include the customers!
I'll count to 3 before letting the bot out, OK?
1...

Valentine's Day? Pah! P and I don't bother with that - we don't need a special excuse to cuddle up and get lovey-dovey!

Right - so - uh - Ook, will you give me a helping hand up into the rafters?
[Ook]:
Fine - so - ahem... *nervously unlocks the ridiculously big padlock, opens the door...*
*..and gets pulled up by Ook just in time to avoid being hit by a frantic cleaning bot rushing out of the closet*

*the cleaning bot is happily frolicking in the - by now - rather dusty corners of the café*
*it cleans everything meticulously, including the pianola, the sofas, the chairs, the table, the counter, the IIEM and also any customers who might have been dozing unable to get out of the way*

*nervously watches the cleaing bot that has now finished cleaning, standing still scanning the immediate neighbourhood*
*big bath towel at the ready*
Right - uh - so... I drop this over the bot to cover its censors, we drop down and push it back into the closet and then close the door (very, very fast).
Who's in? I can't do it all by myself - the bot is a bit too strong... *having painful memories of previous attempts*

*together they both anxiously watch the cleaning bot as it keeps whizzing to and from, to and from*
*drops towel*
*fearlessly (OK, maybe not fearlessly, rather 'fool-heartedly') Ti and Hati drop down from the rafters and vigorously attack the cleaning bot, struggling, step by step, to push the cleaning bot back into the closet*

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Feb 13, 2004
*But the cleaning bot seems to have grown in strength since last time*
*Ti and Hati struggle, but don't seem to be getting anywhere*
*meanwhile, the cleaning bot is frantically trying to get rid of the towel covering its censors*

Hey, is there anyone in there? The door is locked!
