[Bass] Aww, crap ...
[Vegeta] [as Bass] "This is gonna come outta my paycheck!"
[Bass aims his arm cannon uncertainly at the device.]
[Trunks] ... proving once again that Bass is an idiot.

*An explosion can be heard through the haze as several shards of metal shrapnel fly in, one piece aimed at each individual in the room. Zakkry and the Althian Bounty Hunter both dodge, but ABH isn't succesful; one of his tentacles is now coiled upo at his side and not moving. Moments later, the Teleportation Haze vanishes entirely and Zakkry and ABH vanish as well, supposedly teleported back to the primary bridge*

[Bass and Treble disengage from each other.]
[Bass] NOW what??

FACE-I'd give it a good three more posts before it goes off.
*Q raises his hand*
FACE-Not counting this one.

Oh, boy, this is not going well at all.
*Looks around the Transporter Station helplessly.*

[Bass fires a Magic Card at the console. The card somehow attatches itself to the device and attempts to pull it off ... straight into Bass's hand.]
[Bass] Aw, crap. [tries to throw it towards one of the holes in the wall]

A conundrum. This IS the third posting, so it must blow up.
Bass is a robot, so I must be capable of assuming that the magnetic device can affix itself to his hand, thus making it difficult for him to throw it at the wall. I must also assume that Bass knows his own magnetic structure and may have some trick for removing it for throwing, though how effective it is against this particular magnet is anyone's guess.
So, either the device is going to blow up when stuck to Bass' hands, OR it will blow up just after it has been thrown in Caer's direction, because she is standing behind the wall.
As in the Dungeon forum, I must pull out the coin.
Heads: Bass can throw it from him, but the magnetic pull would probably still make it be close enough to cause some damage. He could, of course, move.
Tails: It gets thrown at Caer and blows up roughly where she is standing. She could, of course, move.
Edge: the thing blows up midway between Bass and Caer for some reason.
*pulls out a penny and flips it*
Heads.
*Bass manages to throw it from himself, but he's still in the blast area. Will he roll away in time???

*sees the device coming in her direction*
*whilst manouvering finds her pda in her upper right arm pocket*
*lands near the console in the transporter room*
*switches on the pda, scrolls through 'utilities' and finds the button for , presses it*
*a portal appears*
Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained!

[Bass is knocked back by the explosion, but appears to be only mildly dented.]
[Vegeta] That settles it: Wily really /did/ base his plans for Bass off a Saiyan.
[Bulma] Let's try a different gag than repeatedly comparing Bass to yourself.
[Vegeta] Oh, fine.

*For some reason, an odd bit of static crackling can be seen on the portal. A few moments later, it collapses with Caer on the other side*

Witty Moniker Posted Oct 9, 2003
*Sees Caer fiddle with her pda and watches as the portal seems to open at her command.*
Wow, my Palm can't do that. I'll have to find out where she got that program. I hope it's freeware.

[Trunks] Eh, you can't find /anything/ good on the Internet these days.

Sol Posted Oct 20, 2003
*Head muddled from noise* Has the balst actually killed us all yet, or is it merely going to go off over there *waves arm vaguely in Caer's former direction* and shower us all with debry? *Pushes herself even flatter to the ground just in case*

*FACE appears*
FACE-The, uh, bomb went off a good number of posts ago. When it was tossed at Caer the length of given time had passed. I believe that there was probably a little debris, but nothing that would've hurt anyone. You know, a standard Action Movie explosion.
*FACE vanishes*

*For some unknown reason (unknown, that is, to those who haven't read the proper conversations), the force fields lower, thus allowing everyone in this chamber to head to the outside corridor at F127150?thread=334291 where the adventure continues*

Sol Posted Oct 27, 2003
*Picks up self, dusts self off and staggers unsteadily about at bit, and in the course of doing so, discovers, by wobbling through it, that the force feild seems to be down.*
Well whattayaknow. *Perks up, and again in the best action movie blast tradition, appears none the worse for wear.*
Come on then!
