A Conversation for The Andromeda-Way Prison
Level Five: Control Level, Maximummer Security, Etc.

*The 5th floor, the top of the main complex of the Andromeda Way Prison. From this elevator, many rooms can be accessed such as the Prison Guard Rec Hall, the Armory, Barracks, the Primary Bridge, and the Maximummer Security Brig. What types of villains are in the MSB? Good question. Regardless, these conversations'll all exist just as soon as the URLs can be posted. That'll probably be before the elevator arrives*

*Stephanie and Tusk, the infamous baby sitters, come from F127150?thread=285189 and head to F127150?thread=288720 in preparation for the impending arrival of (probably) adventurers. And just for the sake of saying it, the Maximummer Security Brig isn't accessible; it's currently locked and constructed from some unknown material*

*The elevator doors open, and Dr. Harvey and The Arithmancer step out*
Arithmancer-Stay here and fight, or go find B.E.T.T.E.?
Harvey-I'm for staying and fighting.

*NYC steps onto the landing*
Why fight? My weapons are useless and our tasks are complimentary. I'm beginning to think the universe is against me on this one - no legions of well-trained do-gooders to upset the ranks of, no superbattles, no clear cut enemies, no subterfuge, no need for any gratuitous violence what so ever. It's enough to make one doubt the Hobbesian view of mankind. Man, villainy ain't what it used to be...
*NYC muses, Corrupt smacks him. NYC starts looking for a computer terminal*

Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 19, 2003
Harvey-Oh, so suddenly when your weapons are useless you don't feel like starting anything? Okay, fine. Have it your way.
*Harvey looks at the board in the door of the elevator*
Harvey-Most people would just break the thing, but I think this might actually solve the problem more simply.
*The only computer terminal in the hallway is one right next to a door marked "Maximummer Security Brig". The monitor simply flashes the phrase "password, please: " repeatedly*

*NYC attempts a number of passwords:*
"password"
"admin"
"betterules"
"heroessuck"
*disappointed with the results, he wanders over to the bridge to meet these villains*

The Corrupt One Posted Nov 19, 2003
*Corrupt and Kudos follow him, hoping to find some sort of better situation on the bridge.*

Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 19, 2003
*Dr. Harvey, The Arithmancer, and the Stupid Little Robot follow as well. Affy4 hangs back with YK*
Affy4-Methinks that lady Corrupt is not as virtuous as I had previously assumed. What say ye, Sir Yar?

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Nov 20, 2003
[Trunks] [as Yar] "Methinks--"
[Yar] Methinks you're right.
[Trunks] D'oh!
[Yar] I think you'd better keep your guard up. [telepathically] {What weapons you got?}

*Affy4 unsheathes his elvish broadsword and holds it up*

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Nov 20, 2003
[Yar] Heh ... Y'know, I've always wondered if those things glow when it's technically near something dangerous, but it isn't /really/ likely to hurt you.
[Vegeta] [starts powering up] You mean like this?
[Yar] ... like this! [suddenly brandishes and arms his lightsaber and waves it at Affy4] Boo!
Level Five: Control Level, Maximummer Security, Etc.
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 20, 2003
*Affy4 doesn't blink, but the sword does, in fact, glow*
Affy4-The elves fashioned this blade to be warry against many sorts of dangers. It once activated when I was simply in the presence of a princess. I later discovered that she had a body guard near by who would have attacked had I attempted to harm her.

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Nov 21, 2003
[Yar] [putting away the lightsaber] Oh okay cool. Now if you'll excuse me, I must now use the Force to try to figure out what to do next ...
[Bass] You're excused.
[Bulma] Darn, /I/ wanted to say that.

Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 21, 2003
*The signal is coming from inside the Maximummer Security Brig*
Level Five: Control Level, Maximummer Security, Etc.
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Nov 21, 2003
[Yar] Okay, let's get to the brig! [starts heading in that direction]
[Bass] Who made /you/ the leader?
[Yar] Well, I seem to be the only one here who's displaying worthwhile leadership qualities ...
Level Five: Control Level, Maximummer Security, Etc.
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 22, 2003
Affy4-You may very well be a leader, but I've been an adventurer long enough to tell a locked door when one is set afore me.
*Affy4 points at the security keypad*
Affy4-The heavily armored one attempted to use this, but did not know the magic word of admittance. Perhaps those who control this citadel could enlighten us.

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Nov 22, 2003
[Yar] Oh right. Dang, too bad the Keymaker isn't strictly an IC character here ...
[Bass] It isn't locked with a key, anyway.
[Yar] Aff, do you think Rezrov would work?
Level Five: Control Level, Maximummer Security, Etc.
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 23, 2003
*Affy4 thinks about this for a moment. He sniffs the air carefully once or twice, keeping his eyes closed. He opens his eyes and stares at the door*
Affy4-There are magic blockers in the air, but perhaps. It would have to be a strong caster, or a caster with some magic enhancers. Such as a Cube of Foundation or the Coconut of Quendor or even a simple Yonk spell. If your "Force" works as a magic enhancer, and you have a handy Rezrov spell, then you may be able to open it. Assuming the computer encryption isn't too heavy.
Affy4 comes from a time before when the Rezrov spell was invented. So how does he know about it? Well, time travel has existed in Zork for centuries due to the ancient mages, so he's probably been on a few time travelling missions.

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Nov 23, 2003
[Yar] ... You don't have Rezrov, do you?
[Bass snickers.]
Level Five: Control Level, Maximummer Security, Etc.
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 23, 2003
*Affy 4 shrugs. He removes his backpack and begins search through it*
Affy4-A dark mage once sent me to the year 966 GUE to a time when magic was more commonplace. I collected many a spell scroll in my quest to return to mine own era, but the age of magic was destroyed just before I could cast my Yonked Golmac spell. Fortunately, I ran into a hero from another world named Lane Mastadon, and he lent me a chariot of temporal travel. Ah, here! I have a Rezrov scroll!
*Affy4 pulls out a Rezrov scroll and tosses it to YK*
Affy4-Here. It's a little faded, so a magic enhancer would definitely be required. Will your Force suffice?
