You're not alone. Famously, Saturday Night Live featured Sigmund and Anna's relationship as the subject of one the most (in)famous sketches of their first season staring Laraine Newman and Dan Akroyd.

It's in the spirit of tourism. An advert for travel.

I did also notice that:
1/ The Jumbo jet image is way too jumbo and not much jet.
2/ And the character driving the sleigh, the snowmobile, etc
keeps changing almost like he was supposed to represent

I vividly remember reading Laura Ingalls Wilder during my late pre-teens.
She didn't begin writing until she was 55 years of age, after relocating to Missouri.

Apparently the Little House *books* are very good if you want to know about American frontier life in the 1870s and 1880s. Ignore the TV series.

Thank you, FS, I would probably have missed that if you hadn't posted. LIW was my childhood heroine - the TV series is appalling but the books are excellent. I'm still fascinated by idea of a town being established from scratch in the middle of the prairie.
