Mine eyes do not have the glory of my younger daze.
I must leave all the careful looking to professionals
such as yourself.

I had nothing to do with the St Patrick's Day Google Doodle, but I would like to honestly apologise to Ireland, on behalf of the rest of the world.

You can call me TC

If you click on any of them it gives you a search result list with a whiskey site as the first choice! Or is that just me?

google.at and google.de show a picture for the 150th birthday of Adalbert Czerny, a doctor who seems to have been important in research about children's diseases.

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

And today is a great Frankfurt Natural History artist Maria Sibylla Merian, born in 1647, and died in 1717. Hard to believe she died in poverty having produced such beautiful art work.

Here's the perma-link: http://www.google.com/doodles/maria-sibylla-merians-366th-birthday

On Sunday, http://www.google.com/doodles/cesar-chavezs-86th-birthday this was the Doodle in the US.

Fox News and the rest of the conservative echo chamber went nuclear about it because it was Easter and instead of an Easter Doodle, they did one for an obvious leftist agenda. The OUTRAGE that they didn't honor Our Heavenly Father's Zombie day or even that silly bunny or anything.

What they conveniently overlooked was that Google hasn't done an Easter doodle in 11 years.

Today's doodle honoured a swiss mathematician
and inventor of whom it is said that his formula
called 'The Identity' is the most beautiful thing
in the whirled of numbers - equal to the best sonnet
every written - and from around the same time.

Apparently e to the power of i times pi
plus one equals zero.

Here it is quietly and elegantly demonstrated on Utoob:

Yup that's the doodle.
To see the math formula that makes mathematicians weep
in ecstasy try googling 'Euler's Identity'. The video may
be available on a more accessible non-Utoob site.

Hah! Phil Plait (aka Bad Astronomer) has a few issues regarding today's Earth Day Doodle. http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2013/04/22/google_doodle_earth_day_doodle_has_a_few_science_errors.html

TL/DR: He likes it, but the moon is really messed up in its phases and that the crescent moon has stars shining through the dark part.

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

And today, on Google UK is St. George's Day, our Patron Saint

http://www.google.co.uk

And this evening I am organising and hosting a St. George's evening, with Hammersmith Morris, a local side:
http://www.hammersmithmorris.org.uk/drupal/

Also a few short speeches, readings of prose by William Shakespeare, whose day of Birth and Death it is. So prolific inn 24 hours, Bangers (sausages), Mash and onion gravy, a raffle and live music hall music with yours truly joining in.

It is all to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy (which I have now been diagnosed with a variant of) and Ataxia UK.

I have a Virgin just-giving website set up, but do not know the rules about posting it, but if you wish to donate please send me a PM.
