So - Terry or Chris?

I'm surprised to hear that. Evans' listeners must have an average IQ in single figures. I've no idea where the togs will go, but I can't see many of them staying tuned in.

I for one won't be listening to Evans. There's only one other presenter I find as irritating as Evans and thats Jeremy Vine. I stopped listening to him a long time ago.

I wonder why Ken Bruce doesn't do it - he's very similar to Wogan.

I've never listened to Evans on the radio, but I always found his on-screen personality to be intensely irritating. I don't often listen to Radio 2 in the morning, but Chris Evans will be a good reason never to listen to it at that time.

Aw, there was me hoping this was a 'who would you rather left first' or something
I dont listen to R2 anyway. It all irritates me. Well, except for the occasional programme that's actually *about* something which I listen to on the iPlayer.

Yes it was a sad morning - I heard his announcement at 8 am and my jaw fell
It's undoubtedly the end of an era - no-one can replace Wogan, but life will go on.
I quite enjoy Chris on drivel time of an evening, but he might be a bit too zany first thing in teh morning

Yes, Icy North, my first thought was, ah, Ken Bruce now then, a spilt second before they announced Chris Evans.
I think Chris Evans could be OK but he would need to totally change what he does and just fit into what ol' Tel did a bit more.
Evans has matured a lot. I don't listen to his shows as I do not like his content BUT he could calm it all down.
If they just let him pull across all his normal stuff then Radio 4's Today programme listener fugures will be rising.
A must say I don;t listen to Tel but I used to when ravelling with my dad in the mornings and he was great in the slot.

I don't listen to BBC Radio, but Evans is far superior to that bloated scumbucket Moyles they plaster across Radio One.

Drivetime used to be my staple when I worked in UK, from John Dunn through Johnie Walker. I refuse to tolerate Evans, utter rubbish, juvenile, chavish, utter drivel. Don't think I'll be leaving the Today programme somehow.

Ken Bruce is Terry Wogan lite - with all the good bits taken out.
I quite like Chris Evans - much more so than a few years ago - but I'll be sticking with Sheila Fogarty and Nicky Campbell on R5. Sheila's consistently brilliant and well worth putting up with NC's more than occasional nonsense.

I never liked Evans in his previous incarnations (radio or TV) but have grown used to him on the drive time slot. Not sure if he'll be my cup of earl grey in the mornings though.
I've been listening to Sir Tel since the first day I drove to work rather than got the train. I managed less than 30 seconds of whoever was on radio 1 (Sarah Cox possibly?) and been a TOG ever since. hmmm.

I used to listen to Tel (new car's got an i-pod dock but I became frustrated at his increasing tendency to mumble. I suspect that "Janet & John" might get even ruder under Evans, but I won't be listening.

Can I choose neither TW or CE please?
Liv Tyler. Mmmmmm.
How about Nicky Cambell for R2? Then we will be relieved of him over on R5.

R4 is the only one for me.

I don't actually mind Chris Evans. Better than the drearie old news. I can't work out if he's improved since he took the Drive Time show or if I've got used to the shock. He's consistent and he can think fast, both of which I I find admirable.
El Tel used to infuriate me when he was Evans' age, he was so SMUG and so PLEASED WITH HIMSELF, but now he amuses me.
Actually, they are both good at including the others in the studio, and that's what makes them work for me.
I might give Radio 5 a whirl. Or revert to podcasts.
