Good afternoon, good evening and good night!
Hi , you've stumbled across my hootoo house. Pull up a chair and your drink of choice. I'm Rockhound: Geologist (after a few years as Geotechnical Engineer), -er, Kung fu-Alto, TOG, Cheesehead 1 and occasional sword-swinger 2
What do I like? Science (though for obvious reasons I'm biased towards the earth sciences), science fiction, humour (Eddie Izzard, Dave Gorman), architecture, Drambuie, choral singing, kung-fu, musicals, rock music, the Prodigy and computer games.
I've been lurking around these parts for a few years now, an ex-scout with a few entries that made it through PR and into the edited guide. I'll even occasionally dabble in a 'create' project now and again.
Being a tad busy at the mo' my list of edited guide entries isn't as impressive as some researchers. At the moment it stands at:
Edited Guide EntriesTetbury Woolsack Day, Stonehenge - collaborative entry, The Heidi Game, University of Portsmouth, Gloucestershire, UK, Japanese History and Culture - collaborative entry, Japan for the Visitor - collaborative entry, Contemporary Japan - collaborative entry, Tycho Brahe - Astronomer - flea market rescue/collaborative entry, How to build a house from coal
Entries in Peer Review
Entries Under ConstructionLeicestershire, UK
Why not have a look at Peer Review and see what researchers have submitted at the moment.
Apparently my hootoo identity, plus being an engineer, martial artist and lover of a) team sports with oval balls and crunching tackles (not just the NFL) and b) sharp pointy steel weapons, suggests I'm male. Non, je suis une femme! ;)

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
