Well, as of yesterday, the girly and I are no longer together. It's for the best, it was a mutual decision, and she put it down to immaturity on her part. She says she's just not mature enough to deal with having to remember she's got a girlfriend. All I knew was, she wasn't happy and I wasn't happy, she was being more and more distant more and more of the time, and I spent over half of the time being mad at her, so it wasn't worth struggling on when all it would have done was to make both of us miserable. We parted on a friendly note, and honestly I feel quite relieved it's over. She didn't realise I wasn't happy, whereas I knew that neither of us were, so maybe that tells us something about why it didn't work. But ah well.

Sounds like the ideal breakup (if there is such a thing).

I wonder how many couples are out there, just sticking it out for the sake of each other, or because they are afraid of the probable upset.

You have to I think. It seems to get to a point where all the hormoney rose glasses stuff starts to wear off n you're left with a real person with flaws who you don't always like. At that point you can either leave or stay n acept it for what it is, and I think thats when you get real love.
