I'm confused as to why doing something during PMS is somehow yuk-worthy.

No it's not, pms stands for pre-mestrual tension, ie the emotional state that most women experience the week or so BEFORE their period.

PMS is Pre-Menstrual Syndrome.

It happens *before* your period.

Yes it is Pmt and pms are both the same i should know i get them all the time i have a period twice in one month due to PCOS

Ah confusion Princess cos most people see PMS as the week or so leading up to it when many ladies snarl at anything that isn't nailed down & especially a willy owner.

Thankfully i no longer have to endure all that. Man O' Paws is a wonderful thing, i am sure an Oirishman exists with that name; if not, we will invent one.

Food 'n sex...hmmmm...done lots of before stuff to get in the mood but other than next day smoochy brekkie in bed, nope. I was very evil with a cucumber once, but that was when alone & rabidly horny.

er..PMS tends to be the symptons you get before your period starts...I sometimes get them quite severely which is why I did lots of research into PMS.....

Well, we all seem to be getting in a twist over our abbreviations here:

PMS: Pre-Menstrual Syndrome
PMT: Pre-Menstrual Tension
PCOS: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

The first two seem to be interchangeable terms for the same thing, caused by hormonal changes immediately prior to menstruation. The third is a disease of the ovaries. It, or similar, diseases also affect other organs (I have some experience of PKD - Polycystic Kidney Disease).

LeoAlpha, I'm really sorry to hear you have this disease . I hope that having identified it early will allow you to at least live a normal life, and have children if you want to. Even as recently as 10 years ago these diseases weren't recognised or identified as being casuse of infertility, kidney or liver failure...now we live in more enlightened times, although reversal of the causes is still in its infancy.

Anyway, if you are writing an entry about them, please explain what the initials stand for either in the title, or in the first sentence of your entry? It'll help everyone else who isn't quite as familiar with the disease as you are.

my willie has PMT ATM, and IMHO theres too much of the old "smilies" and abbv's being used atm and also the profanity filter should be FECKED out and off of hootoo, IMHO of course!

i suspect this entire thread is likely to be yikesed on all counts (gaods sake don't make a typo on that word)so we had better be very very careful & creative.

There is in fact a nice little thread of new hootoo alternative swear words, which i will track down later; meanwhile, all be good boys & girls & remember an asterix may not suffice.
