A Conversation for Ask h2g2
Where's that thread...?
Wilma Neanderthal Posted Sep 26, 2007
I can't find where we were posting h2g2 links found out in the big bad world... I found the toast entry on a Facebook group
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18839340232
.. and I want to post it in that thread - not his thread
heyulp?

Aurora Posted Sep 26, 2007
I've found two Ask threads, both about links from the BBC to h2g2:
F19585?thread=3377817
F19585?thread=4075455
Where's that thread...?
Wilma Neanderthal Posted Sep 26, 2007
Wow, Aurora, how do you do that? I searched and searched... I never saw those two although I do remember them. Thank you
Did we not have one about general oogleg finds and webbie linkages external to the Beeb, though?
I will go look some more...

I just remember being interested in those threads, so it was easier to scan back through my old conversation list than the whole of Askh2g2. Unfortunately I don't remember any of the other threads so I wouldn't know where to start looking!

You're obviously not subscribed to the whole world and its wife then
I just posted it to the entry itself...
... couldn't find that thread

The only thread I can think of that you might mean is "You're Getting That":
F2137311?thread=470340
If this isn't the right link, then can you think of any other clues?

Where's the Ask thread on English (language)?
Where's that thread...?
Aurora Posted Sep 28, 2007
These two threads are on language, though you'd never guess it from the topic drift.
F19585?thread=100569 (the British English thread)

Where is the list of quote of the days? I don't think it's a thread, I think it's someone's PS? Anyone have any ideas?

It's here: U230056 Front Page Archiver

van-smeiter Posted Sep 29, 2007
Thanks Bel That wasn't what I was thinking of (I'm sure someone has archived just quotes of the day on his or her PS) but a) it tells me the quotes of the day and, more importantly, b) I didn't realise that such an archive existed and it is fantastic
Hope you're keeping well.
Van

The only other page I know of is this here: A20169010
But it's far from being complete, so not really useful.
I'm well, just busy.
Hope you're fine, too.

Just for the sake of completeness, I'll drop a link to your new taunts: F19585?thread=4701160. Honestly, could you not find the insults thread yourself, you lazy good-for-nothing scoundrel!
TRiG.

>>Honestly, could you not find the insults thread yourself, you lazy good-for-nothing scoundrel!<
Just the kind of fatuous slur I'd expect from a mediocre, arrogant pedant such as yourself!
- should this stuff be posted on the taunts thread, or the insults one?
