Whaddya' know? 'What Music?'s in Ask too. I thought all the 'What...are you...at the moment?' threads had been moved to Misc Chat.

I think the general rule is that if it s a question that generates actual answers rather than random chat or inane silliness then it stays in Ask.

I never did find an Excel circular reference thread and I even looked on a day when the search engine was actually working (rare but does happen from time to time). I don't think there was such a thread on h2g2 but it might have been on one of the other dna sites.

I thought I'd seen the designer babies thread too and looked in all the logical places but perhaps it has disappeared. Anyone remember it?

Well, I remember it. I can't remember who else was in it, though. Alfredo, perhaps, but I'm not at all certain.

I'll have another look myself. It'll be in my convo list somewhere, but I cannot remember the title of it.

It's curious that you'd feel that way, Roymondo. The Personal Spaces aren't private and we all know that. I don't do much lurking myself but I can't see how looking at other people's PS's is any different from reading Guide Entries or forum conversations. In fact, a PS personal introduction *is* a guide entry. And journal entries are the same as other threads - it even says this on the 'Add a Journal Entry' page:

"but remember that everything you write is always part of the Guide, and other visitors to your page can still read what you've said, and discuss it"

It's pretty bad when you can't even find your own threads smiley - erm but anyway:

I started a thread asking about quoting large amounts of text on h2g2 from other websites, and about copyright. I think it was in Ask, and it was probably the last quarter of last year. Jimster replied at some point.

I've had a look through my convo list back to early Sept but no luck. Can anyone else find it?

"Try 'Jimster's MP perhaps you see the same thread.

I am looking for a thread early December about an image of a planet spinning the wrong direction. Got the Guide Entry 'twin planets' < A18170949 > from it, so it must be prior to 14th December.
Never mind found it on 'Jimster's list

Yours will be < >

'Clive' has had problems with big page s recently and 'Towelmaster' solved them for 'Shazz' in the old days. Has to do with MTU discovery in the local router. "

Okay, here's a challenge.

Where's that thread where ~jwf~ and zoomer were guessing what h2g2 researchers looked like? It would have been around the end of April or early May 1994. It was the thread that inspired the h2g2 friends photo gallery. I'm writing a guide entry on the photo gallery and would like to link to that thread.
