I don't think they're currently running that one, Elentari - something to do with the Blue Peter cat, rigged phone-in shows and insulting the Queen.

Ah yes. I cut and pasted that from an old journal. Thanks.

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Nov 5, 2007
(copied from another thread)
There are roughly 600 active researchers. If half of those people wrote 1 EG entry each, we'd have enough entries to keep us going for at least another six months (at one new entry per day). So that's the trade. We all write one entry a year, or half of us do an entry every six months and in return we get to keep h2g2.
Fair?

I reckon so. Though I haven't been very prolific recently...still, there are a couple of ideas buzzing around my brain.

Laconian, you've done more than enough in the past. But still, anything new would be good... Are we to expect an entry on Reading or some meteorological phenomenon?

I really, really should finish something. I've a big'n that scares me and a few others that I haven't been able to get the right angle on (for example, how can one start an entry about the Post Office Tower without mentioning Tiddles, but where does one go from there?)
Oh, it's all such a wotsit!

The entry on Reading desperately needs an update but I might wait for a while before doing that. Meteorological entries are likely on the cards. Or perhaps I'll just go off on a completely unrelated subject .

There is an new group being set up at A28763472 if anyone is interested
I'm discussing the idea that people could sign up to write one Entry a month instead of one a fortnight as well, but the basic gist is there.

Blackberry Cat , if one wishes to remain an individual in the midst of the teeming multitudes, one must make oneself grotesque Posted Nov 6, 2007
I've been working on A1361341 for ages but still not managed to write it in a form suitable for the EG whilst keeping the humour of Cat Carouser's original piece. I've also got a few historical pieces in mind but all very dry and factual

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Nov 6, 2007
I've just put a new entry that I'd been working on into PR.

That looks pretty good as is. Although I know nothing about cats...

I am getting on with writing the entries I'm down for. Honest.
Yes, yes, I know "get on with it faster then".

Can't be that short of Entries. A25677309 was picked 2 weeks ago and not a dicky bird from a sub-ed yet. Or there's A19298820, edited over 6 months ago and in limbo ever since.

I was wondering about that myself. It seems to have been on the Coming Up page for ages.

Have the editors not contacted you about that one, SWL? That's not right. I suggest you contact them via the scouts forum. They plainly have a problem with it, and they should be discussing it with you.

As for the Cigars one, Bernadette Lynn's editing that one. There has been a lack of subeditors coming forward to request entries recently -I'll drop a note to the subeds forum. Of course if anyone wants to volunteer as a sub-ed, I'm sure they'd be very welcome.
