I have a bad feeling it should be a procrastination of researchers.
Is there a similar thread on the collective noun for italics? I was thinking of starting one a few weeks ago. Powers that be is too traditional and powers in the towers has been used elsewhere round here. I thought font of italics was quite cute (as in font of knowledge etc too) but possibly a bit techy.

, if it's a procrastination of researchers I hope the term only refers to h2g2 researchers. I think my IRL research department might object...

I think the length and indecision of this thread rather supports the procrastination suggestion

Hmm... "a drift of researchers", how dreamily poetic...
and I like "a ramble of researchers", as well - for those more energetic aspects of the site...
Out of interest, FABT, did you ever write that article on guide slang?

Well..... this new researcher called Lee or Liam started setting up unofficial help-and-welcome groups called Bounties or Rangers or some other names, which kept changing, as did Lee's as he kept setting up new accounts.
He kept denying that these new incarnations were still him. Until at last he admitted the truth and asked for forgiveness.
