Washing them was not an option but for safety I ignited them in the garden.Ive just been told I could have buried them...it was 2am after substantial amounts of beer,what would the nieghbours think plus id know the pants were out there .

I don't believe that burying them is currently MAFF best practice although I do think it would have been more humane to have them had them dispatched with a single shot beforehand.

I don't know whether to be deeply impressed or appalled ... did you ever give any thought to having them framed and donated to Billy Burntbum's Hall of Fame ?

Being arrested after kicking a "keep left" sign right in front of a *dark* Police car - which suddenly turns on lights and asks me to accompany it to the police station (very drunk - carrying Stereo and various "liberated" pieces of Road Furniture!).

To have those pants existing on any level was too much to bare thus I chose cruelty to wounded pants for they shamed and they were under chilli/garlic anasthetic..dignity where art thou?

Why are all the embarasing things I can remember from Uni days?

Another one was when going to The Rocky Horror Picture show party I couldn't get any Fishnets, so decided to draw them on instead!

Unfortunately I used PERMANENT Marker pen! This lead to embarrasment aplenty in the next few weeks!!! (Imagine - Playing Badminton, anything else involving shorts.... I'll let your imagination roam!)

Hmmm embarassing moments - I seem to have put these to the back of my mind however ....

- having to go and buy my girlfriend the "Hear'say" album as an Easter present last week.
- buying a Jason Donovan CD was quite bad, but then when I got home I found I had to take it back because it contained a CD by "Donovan" (old hippy singer). Became even more so.
- admitting to everyone on H2G2 that I once tried to buy a Jason Donovan album.

Ah yes there are a number of incidents I've had when skiing which have required me to throw up :
- on piste in front of the rest of ski school.
- in a mountain side cafe. Once in a nearby bin, in front of some bloke with a video camera who was obviously just taking in the mountain scenery.
- as I ran out of breakfast and up the stairs to the nearest hotel toilet.

The "through-fall" incident - had one of them too. But lets try and keep away from bodily functions.

What other embarassing moments? Ah yes:
- failing my 15-to-1 audition because I couldn't remember the name of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical where the cast are on roller-skates. It was made worse by the other triallists gasping in shocked disbelief.

But hey what. All part of life. It'd be a dull place without having ventured to make a fool of one's self occasionally.

Absolutely. It was about 2am in the morning, I'd been to a friends for a bar-b-q and was walking home. Then I farted .... ! And the rest is hosiery

So my most embarrassing moment... well it has to be walking into a sandwich shop, seeing my father in the queue in front of me and smacking him on the back whilst yelling

"Wotcha Aged P, typical of you not to recognise your own daughter! The least you can do is buy me lunch to make up for it!"

At which point he turned round and was revealed not to be my Dad at all... but Richard Whitely from Countdown.

It could have been worse - you could have got up the next day to see 'TV star's mystery love-child' stories splashed across the tabloids.

Well, who do you think it was more embarrassing for - him or you? Tee Hee I say, well done that girl.

(I am laughing out loud, and now my colleagues know I am mad...)

The weird thing is that my Dad doesn't look anything like Richard Whitely.... he is a dead ringer for Albert Finney!

But it also says something about my Mum but I am not sure what!!

After a night out drinking "Old Peculiar" (for those unfamiliar with "OP" it as a beer brewed in Masham, Yorkshire), I got home and was very unwell out of my bedroom window onto the roof of our bathroom which was built on the back of the house. So far so good. The embarrassing part was being watched by the neighbours in the morning hosing down the roof whilst trying to act nonchalantly.

BTW why is Old Peculiar sick purple?

Ahh involuntary vomiting. My favourite.

Back in 1989 when I was a wee slip of a lass, I was given the opportunity to meet the Australian cricket team who were over here beating us senseless as per...

Well I was just about be introduced to the man who I considered to be a demi god at the time when my stomach just decided to reject what little food I had managed to eat that morning. Holding the contents of my stomach in my hands I rushed out to the loo leaving my friend trying to explain to a bemused Steve Waugh that I was feeling a little nervous.

Even when I think of it now, I get stomach cramps...

The effect (and the embarrassment) would probably have been greater if any of the following conditions had been fulfilled :-

1. Red or green tile roof (gives a nice contrast).
2. Front window had been used (passers-by get to enjoy the view as well).
3. House had been a dormer bungalow (elevation of deposit wouldn't be too great).

I had a friend in Atherstone who managed all of the above but on the back of Marston Pedigree's. Needed a hosepipe, brush and lumplifter in the morning.

Embarrassing...Mmmmm well...

As a young boy too full of himself, I once paraded around a very busy W.H.Smiths and though it would be soooooo funny to let off a couple of stink bombs.... yes I know, I know!!

Anyway, we got caught and had to attempt to clean the stinking carpet with buckets and scrubbing brushes while the shop was still open as a sort of public humiliation.

It worked!!

Ah, happy days!!

Another, work related, Embarrasing moment.

At my last job, part of it involved checking what stuff people were downloading from the net - mostof it completely innocuous, so there I was chceking some jpgs, when the most gorgeous woman in the office stops by to ask a question - I turn to the PC to show her something and a file I'd forgotten about pops up on screen about Half way through showing her....

It was a picture of a Really rather stunning Naked lady - (Glamour not Porn fortunately <whew&gt Boy did I go red - and so did she.....

now THAT is embarassing!
