I have to tell you something funny... when I was volunteering at the culinary festival at Charlotte Shout (a month long bruhaha all about the arts - food, music, food, dance, food, food, food) part of my duties was to help out at the "peoples choice" tent for the Blues Brews and Barbecue contest..
One man came up to vote on his favorite and as he was handing me his vote he piped up for all to hear "IM A REPUBLICAN! I ALWAYS VOTE!"
To which I of course smiled politely and said "that's okay sir, we'll still take your vote"

Of course! He and his friends ensure that their votes ALWAYS get counted - THEY don't have to stand in the baking sun or pouring rain for up to eight hours, and no-one questions their right to vote when they reach the voting booths!*tight little, bitter, smile*

*looks around confusilated*
Am I in the right place? Groping? Hedonism? Jacuzzi's filled with champagne?*
How's everyone been?
I've been busier then a in a church pew...

Speaking of little skwirls....
I found a baby squirrel in the library today. It was scampering around the biography stacks. It came up to sniff my shoe...

He can store his library card with his winter stash.. then he can read all winter and munch on nuts.

Skwirls munch on their nuts? OUCH!
I just thought they stole birdseed from the feeders like all good little rodents!

All our skwirls have disappeared.. oddly enough just around the time Plastic Squirrel disappeared..
The ones in the yard seem to have been chased off by a killer attack chicken - I wonder if Henny Penny scared PS as well..

The funny thing is diva dog wouldn't chase them.. she couldn't care less even though we were upset because they would clean out the bird feeders..
Now with our killer attack chicken (it's terribly funny to watch her chase squirrels - she puts her neck out and wings back like a fighter jet) they've cleared out.

I didn't realize that she actively chased them away. That must have discombobulated the local skwirl population, as most birds don't do that.

I think she must have caught them stealing her eggs or something but she doesn't like squirrels.. of course the bird population likes having the feeders full so I'm sure they like having a chicken for a body guard.
Key: Complain about this post
