so much for putting your soul at rest with the power of the fridge. *rolls behind the nearest door and fires on the guard a few times with his pistol.*

*Craxus fires his weapons at the possessed trooper. Craxus then walks around the mech lab placing various black boxes around the lab in a geometric pattern.*
You will find out later...

*looks the MJ12 soldier up and down*
I think we ought to call him Charlie. *She grins and tosses back her hair, her shining sparkly background animation (complete with softly falling cherry petals and multicolour translucent bubbles and what should be illegal amounts of pink) flickers on for a moment.* May I call you Charlie?

*There is a whine of servos, as Marshal finally gets a Class II Cargo Walker to work. He loads up a large Railgun onto the left Wing mount, a munitions system onto the back, and several massive concrete blocks on the right wing to balance the thing. He jumps into the cockpit and revs up the leg aculators and thumbs the remote targeting system. The Mech-walker had virtually no armour, but the Railgun was a serious piece of hardware. He punches in the door access codes.*
[CPU] Access Denied.
[Marshal] Oh bloody hell...
*There is an electric whine, and the Railgun fires. The impace echoes through the base, and half the door is shreded off.*
[CPU] Warning! Heat Sink Overload! Shutting Down...
*The Mech shuts down. According to the systems, it will take three minutes to cool the reactor. Marshal curses, and jumps out to find a Heat Sink Array...*
Okay, so in a minute Marshal will have a Mech with enough power to level a skyscraper. However, as it has virtually no armour, and the Heat-Sinks are needed to keep it going, it shouldn't be too dangerous. All you need to do is blow the Heat-Sink system (assuming you're brave enough...).

*Yells to fiendish friends that are in the second hanger*
Judging by that loud sound there's a mech up'n running. With the summer i spent on Solaris VII one of the best ways I learned to stop those things is over heat them. Flamers, napalm, and the such work well. Also, if you want to hit it hard, take out one of it's legs. Making it fall with be crippeling, especially if it falls on it's gun.

That sounds interesting....
So, erm, anyone got a flamethrower on their person? All I got here are my flaming Lothlorian arrows...
...Would that work, do you think?

*Marshal sits back in the cockpit.*
[Marshal] Computer. Calculate Firing Heat Output and add it to standard running heat.
[CPU] Firing Temperature will peak at 382 Celcius. Calculations indicate that it will take nine seconds for temperature to drop to safe firing levels.
[Marshal] And the reload time's five seconds... Sweet.
*The Mech powers up to full power. The Chicken-Leg Walker stalks over to the door, and a second shot blasts it apart.*
[CPU] Munition levels at 20 slugs. Firing Capacitors at 87%. Stabalization levels at 7 Degrees to Port...
[Marshal] Okay, so we're a little gun heavy... Now, look for lifesigns.
[CPU] Lifesigns detected in Hanger 2.
[Marshal] Sweet.

Not sure arrows would be quite big enough. Couldn't hurt to try though. I'm hoping Terran will show up with something, he did have that rocket launcher before.
Maybe if Daedalus could localize power to this area so we could close those blast doors we could hold them off for long enough to put something together.

Erm, yes...
Sorry about the whole "not haing large weapons" thing...
Personally I tend to think that guns are for the weak, but I'm re-thinking that little bit of eastern philosophy right now...
*She takes out her longbow (hey, it can't hurt to try) and nocks an arrow to it. She carefully takes aim in the general direction of the loud metalic stomping.*
