Very dear Eki,eki, eki, I am so sorry I missed your kind reply to my note. It is really so nice to have a party to look forward next year.! I'm due to have a cataract attended to on the 11th January, but should surely be fit even if I have to wear a patch over my possible black eye.!! I am having such fun meeting all sorts of super people on this web site. Wonderful. Thanks again. The doddery Corsican bandit who also ran once!!

Wonderful idea - but what taxi will transport a CB with an eyepatch in a wheelchair? But I'll get there by hook or by crook. (I've just realised the implication of that idiom. I am sooooo slow!!!) also known as AR1 and CB. Wish I had a wheelchair smiley. - preferably one with three wheels - which could explain a lot.!!

Right...I feel like meeting some like minded people (well..to be honest...i figure that i don't really...i get scared enough by what i think....let alone other people doing things inspried by thoughts like that)...
Ok..lets start again
I'd love to come..and I'll bring the long absent Yma (she registered...made about three posts..then her computer exploded(not literally) and she hasn't been able to return), who happens to be my very special lady friend (euphemism city). Anyway, we'll hopefully be able to make it..depending on the inevitable monetary issues of a thing like this when you're people like us (ie lazy..yet with overly active social lives...that cost money)..and I look forward to seeing you fine young specimens all

Very dear friends and oragnisers of the big bash.Yesterday I had a letter from the hospital where I am having my cataract operation and they have put the date forward to the 21st January. I really think, that with the best will in the world it might be a bit early for an old lady pirate like me to go to your lovely party on the 26th. So, although I am deeply saddened by this decision, I think I must reluctantly say that I shall have to postpone meeting all the super people to another time. I do hope that you have not gone to too much trouble about finding a venue which has wheelchair access, and thank you for all the trouble which you have taken. In case I do not write to you again may I wish you all a very happy and blessed Christmas and everything of the best for the new Year of 2002. With an affectionate

Saturday's I work - but what the hell! 
Count me in - but there is a chance that some unavoidable concert, rehersal or exam turns up to khybosh my plans as is often the case, but I'll do my best to be there!!!
I'll need to know where it is pretty quickly though - my Mum is incredably over-protective and it's proving hard enough to get her to let me come as it is - harder without a known meeting place!!!

We're very sorry to hear that you can't make the party, but of course we do understand. We'll be having another party in the summer so perhaps you'll be able to come along to that one and meet everybody then?
If at any time you're in London you're most welcome to come into the BBC and say hi to everyone, we're in Bush House at the end of the Strand.
I hope your op goes well. My father had his eyes fixed earlier it the year and he was delighted with the results!
