>>...and you won't be able to see the long-term effect of yesterday unless...<<
Long term effects? What are those?
Naw, I just mean like what if I had had some pie instead of cake. None of this 'butterfly effect' stuff for me - that takes too long.
On the other hand, if today I always go back to yesterday, and today always follows and so I always go back - and I always make a different choice - and if that choice involves anyone else, then it involves everyone else and we're all stuck in the loop. Now then, surely I would not be that rude, especially at a tea party. Therefore, the real choice to make at some point is not to go back - indeed that choice would inevitably be made. SO ...ummm Oh - right. SO, the fact that it is today and not yesterday means that I must have done you that courtesy.
But I think it also means that I might have just agreed with you. Not much of an argument then, was it.
Wait a minute. I'm sure I can do better than that.
...No, probably not.
Seriously though () I have a sneaking feeling that if I went back to yesterday, it really would be yesterday and I wouldn't remember today, so the time travel would be unnoticed. Time travel must be a little like visiting Sandusky in that respect.

Hi Amy,
>>> Happy, would I be correct in guessing that you may reside in the second most northerly coastal county in California? *she asks from the most northerly*
Good guess based on the sparce information, but I reside in the third most northerly. Just thought I'd bring some Humboldt Fog and taste some of that Wensleydale over there. (Points to a plate of cheese on a nearby table.)

Pailaway, when my head stops spinning I'll answer your argument. I think a little experimentation in time travel would really clear up these pesky paradoxes and whatnot that clutter the field.
