...we could give more than one stuffie control of the Creeping Ick, then they could fight with it...oh, and we should do more with the Pirates, and the penguins, I've never been satisfied with theat plot...hmmm...

Yeah, I broke one of the cardinal rules of LARP in this game. "Never include a bomb larger than your game." With the cat, the cargoe, and the Soul Stone I included 3.
The game also included child neglect, infidelity, and 2 of the most ruthlessly evil characters ever written.
My friends still think of it as a silly game.

Would you please not write your game in my party, Miss "My-Paws-Are-Too-Fluffy-For-The-Keys-Could-You-Please-Enter-This-Character-Sheet-For-Me-Mac"?

Well! Then I'll just keep my idea of linking the Box Caves to the Blue Carpet to myself. Oh, and the purple toys, we need more purple toys...

Isn't there a Stephen King book where an author turns into two people, his good half and his fluffy half?

Carmel Bunny, spokes stuffie for cute things everywhere Posted Nov 16, 2001
*scratches head* Dear me, I should think that the "good" half and the "fluffy" half would be the same half.

*sips her , (which incadentaly is actually some of that new lemon pepsi stuff that she loves so very very much)*
*goes over to the DJ (who incadentally is Lupin Scribble {just to mess the menfolk up a bit} and hands him a CD of high-energy Japanese techno*
*runs away giggling*

Just so everyone is aware, the game is progressing - sans pre-ordained events - the a thread entitled CART HQ - The Future. Sarah is attempting - with the, ummm, "assistance" of Ulyclept - to return to the MC and save her crew. If anyone would like to put in an apperance, we would appreciate it a great deal. Thank you. Return to your party now.

Yeah, Gw7en and I thought it would be neat if characters who wanted to were to rejoin the game at opportune times. Arl has just put a large twist on the plot.
Oh, and instead of one person splitting into good and evil halves, this game had a good and evil character merge!

So, nobody has any guesses where Amelia's zapper sends things? I'll post it at the end of this post.
Does anybody have any comments on my idea for handling what's where?
Does anybody have any ideas for handling absences?
Okay, the zapper sends things to Tunguska, Siberia on June 30, 1908

I don't think there is a way around not being online at the time of the battle....gotta keep thinking on it, maybe I'll come up with something....
Sounds like a good idea on the whats there, both the cut paste thing and your idea will work great. Who ever does the next one will just pick I guess.

Tunguska! Brilliant!
Not meaning to make more work for the GM, GL, but could you maybe maintain the What's Where thread. It would only need to be updated when something is stolen. That way, no one would know who took what...

Well, that is what I had in mind. Each room would have two threads - one a description thread, the other the normal action thread. I would post the room description to the description thread and update it when necessary. The description wouldn't include hidden objects, but I would still keep track of those myself. There would still be difficulties for cases like the sea chests, where the contents are generally hidden, but available to the owner - if something is stolen there, then the owner needs to know, but it is hard to let the owner know without giving away who stole it. Similarlly with pickpocketting - how do I let the original owner know that they no longer have the item? I suppose what we did here worked well enough for that - I let the actor know, but they keep it secret from their character. After all, that is the way pickpocketing works in a live version (the actor knows who did it, but their character doesn't).
Anyway, the two threads per room strategy might be an improvement.

Lovely idea that, GL.
* (lemmon pepsi)*
You know, *sip* I've been thinking... This lemon Pepsi tastes a great deal like Crystal Pepsi. So perhaps they've brought back Crystal pepsi and just begun calling it "Pepsi Twist" and making it brown as opposed to clear.
...I believe that I think too much.
*sigh*

I remember Crystal Pepsi. It was odd drinking something clear that tasted like cola.
I've brought the "Astral Plane" thread up to date too (relatively speaking). Since everyone except Sarah and Lorenzen are dead, that could serve as jumping off point for anyone interested in playing, even android cats who can communicate with ghosts.

Well, but how about possession? Spirits could come back that way.
Or the soulstone could call them back somehow. The soulstone has just travelled backward in time! Results, as my logic professor used to say, are unpredictable.
