Nonsense, Gwen, it'll behave if you want it to. And you look too good to just sit there. Gimme a break, dance with me or I'll have to stand here until Jade comes in.

I just want you all to know what a great experience it was to play this game with you guys, and I learned a whole lot about role playing and shamanism and history too!

*sea grabs a glass as she and marv spin past a table, raises, it, then puts it back down and continues dancing*
this was so much fun! it was nice not to be the same old character for once, although i must say that the cat and i have very similar characters. had i thought about it, i could have done a lot with her... oh well. it /was/ my first RPG, after all...

*decidedly angry at herself for playing her Harry Potter PLaystation game instead of logging on this afternoon and missing her dance w/ Mac*

*sea sits on a chair*
d'E? where is he?! i need to yell at him for telling everyone that i talked!!!!! and here i was, thinking i was doing a good job of not telling everyone that volkert ate a rat, but you were telling them all along!!!!!!

*sea grins*
you too, marv. do you dance this well IRL too?

marvthegrate LtG KEA Posted Nov 15, 2001
Hardly. I know no formal methods of dance. I do like to go to clubs as long as it is Disco or Techno however.

*calls to sea from dance floor* So, sea, would you have destroyed the world?
Post Game Party!
soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Nov 15, 2001
i don't really know, mac. actually, i probably would have. people are pretty evil. and some of the ones on the MC were exceedingly so.

But could anyone understand what the ghost was saying?
I couldn't resist railing into Volkert for eating the rat, especially since I was playing Volkert at the time of the rat eating .
oooh, I kill myself

Garius Lupus Posted Nov 15, 2001
And you kill me, too, d'E! You were hilarious. And your drunken accent was perfect - I understood every word. I liked the list you left in the log - I don't think anyone deciphered it, because they never put the "Yc" and the "lept" together. But then not too many people knew the name Yclept.
By the way, everyone should read the 3 fact sheets, too.
And the location of where the zapper zaps things is one of Mac's strokes of comic brilliance. In our game, only Gillings' body went there, but it makes the most sense when the soulstone goes there. Any guesses now?
And that reminds me. Zapping Gillings body had a beneficial effect that I hadn't realized at first: it sent away his magic talisman where he stored alot of his magic power. That meant that when he possessed Martens, he was much weaker magically than when he was Gillings. That ultimately led to some of his spells failing when he battled Uli on the Astral Plane.
I'm glad the Who's Where thread was so successful. I think that for keeping track of what's where, a combination of the suggestions so far might work. For each location, I would post a room description (this would avoid me repeating room descriptions, as I had to do in this game). The room description includes everything that can be seen, but not hidden items. I would keep track of hidden items and if they become visible (or if anything else changes in the room), then I would post again to the room description thread. If someone searches a room, then I would post what they found to their private thread.
The problem of absences is harder to deal with. Not many conversations in this game actually went to their conclusion, since events overtook them while they were still ongoing because of the time lags between replies. I can't really think of a way around it, unless it is to limit everyone to a certain number of actions per day. But I don't really like that idea, because it kills any flow that does develop when several players are online at the same time. Part of the problem could be aleviated by me casting people who are online alot, but I thought I had done that this time. Even addicts like us have times when RL intrudes. So, everyone put on your thinking caps and see if you can come up with any solutions.
And Mac, I thought you were a great Richardson.

Hum de dum de deeee...
I thought the entire thing went rather well.
...except for that abrupt ending...
*raises an eyebrow at Arl*
But of course, that is forgiven.

Its not quite over yet. Sarah's escaping from CART just now and will find a way to go back in time and stop Yclept from casting that fireball.
You dance beautifully, Mac.

*suddenly begins to scrible on a napkin* Mac, I've just had such a wonderful idea! We could redo The Round And The Furry, but this time instead of the Tedi Knight plot no one liked we update it as a parody of Episode One! Oh, my yes...hmmm...The Great Purple Hippo as Yoda...hmmm... *scribles furiously*
