Can you change into a cat by yourself, Sea, or might you want to fork over a bit to see the latest transmogrification technology from CLI?
*Realizes that another night will pass before the game starts, and dashes into the hotel. He runs out with a sign saying "Vacancy, pay the bell-bot at the door*
I just love monopolies, don't you?
BTW, Sea, what ever happened to that Plague-O-Matic?

*Runs into the hotel, and comes out with several devices: a blue cube, a bottle of pills, a cardboard box with the word "Transmogrifier" on it, and a machine that resembles an electric chair*
Okay, I've got lots. This blue cube here, a classic example of Andalite technology, is a modified version of The Morphing Cube. However, instead of giving the same transmutation abilities that the Andalites have, this will allow for one change to any chosen animal for any length of time.
Then, this bottle of pills (a product of CLI's medicine department) can be used very easily. Simply drop it into a bottle, along with a sample of the DNA that you wish to transform into, let it fizz and spark for about fifteen minutes, drink it, and you've turned yourself into something else. The antidote is simply to consume one of the pills with no extra DNA added.
Then, this cardboard box is an untested transmogrification technology developed by a certain scientist who identified himself over the phone as "Calvin". Simply hide under the box, set the dial to what you want to transform into, and have someone outside push the button. I've got no idea how it works, or if it works, but Calvin assures me that it does.
Finally, this electric chair analyzes your thoughts, and transforms you into whatever you're thinking of. The only downside to this one is that it's a tad painful.
Aside from these, we've got a bunch of other products, but these are my favorites.

Current status:
1) Still 2 male parts to fill. I've invited Marv and Dr E Vibenstein to play them, but haven't heard back yet.
2) Still haven't quite made up my mind about whether to wait for Lil. I'm leaning towards waiting, which would mean that we would start on Wednesday at the earliest, and possibly as late as Saturday or Sunday. Another possibility that might work is to give Lil one of the stand-by characters. These are characters that are meant to be used if someone gets killed - they can then continue playing as the stand-by character. These characters can begin at any time, which would mean that Lil wouldn't be needed right away. There is one that would work for Lil, except the character description was missing from the documentation that I have! I could try to write it myself, but I would never do as good a job as the original author. So, I have emailed the original author, told him about us playing it, and asked for the character description. I hope he is a nice guy.

Hi Jade. Welcome to the group. What kind of costume would you like?
I've got some lovely second mate clothes around here somewhere, Affy...
*digs through piles of costumes before finally emerging with just the thing*
Here, try these on.
*rubs tummy for luck*

*Joins in the tummy rubbing, has a misspelled hors d'ouvre. Gets out his dictionary and has a much better tasting hors-d'oeuvre*

Oh oh. I hope that character description comes through, then. Once I hear from Marv and EV (hopefully accepting), I'll make a final decision. If we decide to go ahead without Lil, I'll need another female player, so there will be a short delay then, waiting for their response. I really want this to work for you, Arl, since this was the original reason for you joining h2g2. At the same time, I really want Lil to play a role, since she is so good at this sort of thing. Maybe she'll get connected sooner rather than later, and I can have both.

How about something... I dun't know...
Well have you seen the Mummy? Or the Mummy Returns? Something like Evy wears in the Mummy returns, I think. Very fem-Indiana Jones. But no skirts, please. I have to be able to move, you see. I hate being confined.
Sea? Will you be too offended if I dun't rub your tummy? B'cause... Well. It's akward, y'see, and... erm... yeah. I still love ya though! You know that!
Eh. Hi new people!!! *waves*
