Hi, gang! I just finished the backlog in this thread You guys sure talk alot - symulposts, even! LOL. Glad to see you enjoying yourselves. Anyway, this thread is where I started today, so I still have to catch up on other threads.

I just talked to Lil on IM. I happened to catch her when she logged on to read her email, but couldn't talk long since she was paying long distance charges. Anyway, she is still in a hotel at the moment and doesn't move in to a "fixed address" until Monday. It will be Wednesday before she has a phone number, etc. I think it will probably be next week before she is back online, but it could be sooner. I would dearly love her to play, but I'm not sure if we should wait any longer. What does everyone else think?

I haven't had a reply from Peet on whether he wants to play his part. He may be away - I'll have to check his page in a minute. Also, I still have to invite Marv. There was no reply from Amy on the thread where she had declined playing and I had given tried to persuade her. I want to find out how she is doing, but I think it would probably be best to reassign her part to Jedi Jane and have Amy participate in a future game.

So, there are still a few parts to fill. If it looks like Peet is away, then I'll need someone to fill his part. And if the consensus is to go ahead without Lil, then I'll need someone to fill Witty's part (since she will fill the part that Lil was to play).

I'm off to do some more catching up, now.

I think that you can take as long as you need to get comfortable with your part.

Xai, c'mon over here and I'll get some measurements. What kind of costume do you want? Has to be something dashing, since you're the first mate and all.

GL, glad to see you're back. How was your vacation? As for waiting on Lil, I'd like to have her play with us, but I don't know if we can wait for much longer. Too long and you might have a mutiny on your hands.

Affy! Welcome back. We'll try to do better, then. How far off were we with the whole age thing, BTW?

Is there any way to let Lil's character enter the game late? I don't know who she's supposed to play, so I can't guess.

Actually, Lil's character is/may be the Castaway, and she will be needed right from the beginning, since the Captain will need to talk to her.

I fear the mutiny too, G7!

I've invited JJ to take Amy's character, the Stowaway. Haven't filled any more spots yet, though. I'm off to Marv's and Peet's now...

Posted an invite at Marv's and checked Peet's. Unfortunately, Peet has declined (it's more structured than he likes). So, it looks like I have a male part to fill. I'm still not sure about Lil.

Oh, and about Affy. He used to live in Louisiana, but moved about 6 or 8 months ago. I have no idea where. The ranch that UH remembers, was a place where Affy volunteered for a few weeks last summer. I think it was a camp for underpriviliged kids and a long bus ride from where he did live. I think at the time he was still in Louisianna. Central time zone sounds about right.

I once tried to track him down by searching on the internet for a school web site where they were promoting the play Arsenic and Old Lace (which Affy played in). Unfortunately, I had that brilliant idea a few months after the play had finished its run and I found nothing.

He wouldn't even tell me where he was going on holiday. I said that that couldn't possibly tell me anything about him and he replied that it would eliminate one place from the possible places he might live. I hadn't thought of that. Duh.
