h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Here's a little plan I stole from 'The Producers'. We brainwash the Disney CEO (is it Michael Eisner?) into making a cartoon biopic of the life of Adolf Hitler. Lots of happy dancing in lederhosen at the start, but a sad ending, like Pocahontas. They'll lose all their money, and we here at Thingite Productions can snap up the rights dirt cheap.

Blackadder is a masterpiece. I reeeeally want to buy the DVD box set, which has every piece of film ever to feature Blackadder, all the specials and charity appearances...*drool* Sadly it costs over £100, a little beyond my budget at the moment. We must also ruin Amazon.com!

While I love good wreckage and devastation, why don't we conquer and rule? There is longer-term evil involved.
To find an episode of Blackadder in Michigan, I have to drive to a rental place in Lansing that only has 2 episodes, where I can promptly remember I don't have a card there. Or, I can order them with money I don't have, so needless to say I haven't seen Blackadder for a few years now.

I think we can all learn a bit about true evil from the American Department of Motor Vehicles. I admit, I haven't bothered to get my driver's license yet, but I went to renew my permit for the 3rd time. They wouldn't accept my prior permit as a form of ID, and required 4 forms! I found a birth certificate, my highschool transcripts, vaccination record, and for the fourth they accepted my HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK PICTURE. I don't know how they could even tell it was me! How can we kill them?

With extreme prejudice. Have you ever heard of the wire waistcoat torture? Perhaps a little grisly for a family website like this, but here we go anyway. The Ming Dynasty would take the person and wrap them very tightly in a sort of chickenwire, so all the skin sticks out in little bumps. They then proceeded to *cut these bumps off* with a razor, one at a time or all at once. The person ended up skinned alive, in excruciating pain. The torture could often last months.

It's creepy that I know that off by heart, isn't it? I need help. Maybe this'll help.

Actually I read about it in a novel set in Ming China. I don't have a big 'Bumper Book of Sadism', more's the pity. I'm half surprised the mods didn't blank that, it nearly makes me sick thinking about it.

Well, you could claim there is one hitting us and it's a giant government conspiracy to cover it up and fleece those people of worldly possessions (unfortunately that types worldly possesions are conspiracy theory books and camoflage... not that I don't enjoy and/or ascribe to some conspiracy theories...)

Irishman, I actually saw the box set of all four series for €76 in Golden Discs, but they seem to be (erratically) repeating them on the Beeb, and there are no special features. So I decided against it in the end. And I am gainfully (erratically) employed.
