Caught Basil Brush on TV this morning, felt like I was five, it were great
The smile does make me giggle in a childish manner. The is well cool though. Now when can I use it legitimately?

After eating chili?
I like the - it looks a bit like the little sparrow whose Finnish name happens to be the same as my RL last name - there have been times when I've grown pretty fed up with repeatedly having my Finnish last name misspelled by Swedes (despite my efforts to s-p-e-l-l i-t o-u-t) that I've been thinking of changing to the Swedish name for that specific little bird...

We have decided to get a small tree this year. A christmas-bush really. Haven't found one yet though, so we may have to go in the woods and do some unauthorized weeding...

Handbag is always hungry. It shouldn't be problem now, I've promised him all the christmas cookies he can take, if he behaves. That made him quite docile. I just wish he'd stop drooling so...
*puts handbag behind the chair, just to be on the safe side.*

Well, I'm back from Oxford. I won't tell you all about it here, because I've already written about it at length elsewhere. You can find it here:

Hypatia, good to hear your husband's getting a little better.
I also hope that everyone else with colds and whatnot get better.
*Raises a glass to absent friends, albeit a little late.*
Films, films... I'm looking forward to seeing the new LotR film, and Nemesis. Though for some stupid reason, the latter isn't coming out until January, I think, over here.
I must look for all these new smileys.

SE Posted Dec 18, 2002
Last night turned out to be a pretty good TV night all around. Watched the Osbournes at 10.30 to find Ozzy watching Two Fat Ladies and then at 11.00 I watched Spongebob Squarepants as it was his first christmas.
I am going to see LOTRTTT at 6.30 tonight. Plan on leaving work at two, stop to get tickets, and then back to work.
Has anyone here played Sims Online? I don't think I shall, as I never liked the Sims, but after reading an article I am eagerly awaiting Star Wars Galaxies (on top of me waiting for Final Fantasy Online and the online Freedom-Force type game that uses Marvel licenses).
The trip to the Wal*Mart last night yielded 900 lights, all of which are currently on the tree. I still don't think it is enough....

dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC Posted Dec 18, 2002
/* Pulls out a jingling, glittering ornament that seems like a million snowflakes bouncing about, suspended from strings. On closer inspection, the snowflakes are tiny bits of electronic pieces. */
Amazing what you can do with some glitter and string. This used to be my telephone. Zeppo helped make it.
/* Hangs ornament on tree */
Chris, when does Oxford make their decision and let you know?

*comes in followed by Chloe, who is carrying a very large carton on her head*
Here are all the decorations from last year. Chloe saved everything, down to the last bit of tinsel. But we can add even more this year!
Chris, don't feel too much fear about the interviews. They're not looking for physicists, they're looking for students. If you asked questions, that's a huge plus on your assessment.
No tree in our house this year. The cats would be up to the top like a shot and then tip the thing over trying to get at ornaments. We need to wait another few years and see if Vinnie has become a little more sober. Right now, at a year and a half, he'll play with anything, anytime.

I can't beleive you don't like mince pies, FG. That's heresy, that really is.
I am going to see Lord of the Rings on Monday (apparently). In Britain. *hugs self with glee* I'm on holiday in 2 days and 1 hour.

Captain Quirk, we've stumbled into the HooToo Web, on the farside of the Neutalized Zone. We're breaking all kinds of treaties by our presence and will likely be docked a day's wages...
Thank you, Mister Spork , for that assessment. Lt BooHooHoo, open a failing frequency to find out if anyone's out there.
The radio doesn't work; that's why they're called that...
Uh, right! Mister Hula, take us outta here!
Lurk mode ready, Sir.
As per procedure, Mister Check-off. Engage!
