Amos the Ranchhand (and Driver) Posted Dec 17, 2002
*the service lift opens and Amos tromps in, dragging a large goo spruce, followed by two CLI workbots carrying a large wooden bucket*
Good day to you ladies and gents! Surprise! Where would you like the tree? I know you all went on a tree hunt last year, but the snow is deeper this season, El Ninnio they tells me, so I thought to spare the horses and just dart out with some mechanical help.
It's alive, of course.
Say, do I smell that Swedish drink in here? *looks hopeful*

I see that they followed through with my request for a spacer smiley.
Today is insane thus far, but I think that I will be able to get through it so I can go stand in line to see TTT tonight. Got my tickets in my wallet and the coffee is ready to brew.

Sadly I find myself without money to go see the movie and thus will have to wait until Friday. For those of you Tolkein fans that feel this is an outrage, please feel free to send me a money order in the amount of 7.50$.

I drew it so that you can smite things with it, as in
-- Dragon wins!
Amos, put the tree in the old gallery, near the hot tub, where we can see it from the salon. It will get light and humidity there and not be too close to the hearth.

*hands Amos a mug of steaming hot Glögg*
*eyes the spruce*
Veeery nice... I wonder where I put my decorations from last year?

What a beautiful tree, Amos.
Once I've got some mince pies made and H's veggie Xmas meal worked out, I shall start to feel a little more festive.

You know, made with mincemeat........currants, sultanas and other chopped fruits, there's no real meat in them:

Oh...I know mincemeat. When I was a kid we had some neighbors from Manchester--England, that is--and one Christmas they came to our house bearing mince pie. I, being as fond of sweets as I am, had a big piece.

Is it my imagination or does Delia look like Brenda Blethyn?

*returns shortly with a teeny-tiny trapees. She begins to test the strength of the tree's lower branches.*
Oh, goody, goody, goody, I get to be the first ornament hung on the tree!!!

My fake tree is up at home. No use in having a real one, since I will be out for a week.
Just wanted to see what these looked like, that's all...
Yum.

I shall go to the tree-hunt this weekend. Usually we try to bring one from directly from the forest.
