The Field of Honour

From far away you can see it, rising up out of a bowl in the ground. It resembles the Coliseum of the Romans in nearly every respect. The sound of clashing steel and explosions drift towards you.
As you enter through an archway, you are greeted by a roar from the crowds filling the grandstands. Down below stretches many playing fields, some wooded and green, others barren and rocky. There are an infinite number of them, yet somehow all are visible from the grandstands. Besides you, hanging on the wall, are the rules and victors.
As you stride confidently in, you hear your name echo through the coliseum. The audience filling the stands cheers. The battle begins!
