Thursday in Edinburgh

Bill and I walked to the conference venue which was in the Grassmarket

The room for the conference was on the 5th floor and had an amazing view of the castle

The conference was really good and the lunch was lovely

Bill came and collected me at 4pm and we were home by 5

I was really really tired and went for a sleep until 8pm

Watched New Tricks

A busy sort of day

I have woken up feeling better. Hooray. It has been dire to feel so under the weather for so long.

Today I will be interviewing in Dundee again. I will get home briefly this afternoon to see Finn and to pick up my stuff. Then through to Stirling for evening meetings out in Thornhill and then off to Edinburgh for the night.

Tomorrow I am at a conference all day and will go to the galleries on the way back having discovered last week that they are open late.

An interviewing sort of day

I slept until 5.30

Ive woken up still with a blocked nose, streaming eyes and a blocked throat. It isnt totally terrible but is annoying.

Im interviewing all day today and tomorrow in Dundee for the next lot of NPA students. We had 29 on the list which is rather a lot.

After that ie tonight I need to type up an AHS report and get that off.

Sunday

I had a very nice day yesterday although it went very quickly

I went up Kinnoull Hill with Finn and sat in the sun at the outdoor cafe for a drink after the walk which was lovely

I tried to go to the monastery which was open as part of Doors Open Day but there was no sign of it

I then went to the new Vulcan Works building which was wonderful. An artist called Arthur Watson lives in it and he was chatting away about the project.

I came home and had lunch incl some soup that Bill made and watched the footie and then the Labour leadership election. I wasnt impressed enough with any of them to vote and am not sure how Ed M will pan out

After that I went for a sleep, then went for a walk with Bill and Finn and read the papers and watched a Midsomer Murder. Bed not long after 10

Today I have some work to do, want to go to the allotments on the island which are open as part of Doors Open Day and maybe I will start to move some of the stuff in out of the hut as it is starting to get damp.
