Hi, I'm Teri. My vices are many but my heart is big! Stay, chat awhile, pass the time of day. I'm always ready and willing to play, but a sense of humour is required.
I'm nestled here in one of the hottest civilized places in the world - Phoenix, Arizona, USA. I can only say that 9 months of the year this is a paradise. The other 3 months of the year, we are reminded that this may not be h*ll, but that we can see it from here.
Some truths about life in Phoenix, Az:
- When it is 115 degrees (46 c) outside, it doesn't matter if it is a dry heat - it's just dang HOT.
- We consider 70 degrees (21 c) too cold to go swimming.
- The perfect landscaping includes 21 tons of crushed red rock and a palm tree.
- We don't do time changes. Whether you are springing forward or falling back, the number of hours of sunlight doesn't change.
- The quality of a parking space is not defined by the distance to the destination, but instead by the amount of shade it offers.
- When it rains outside, everyone leaves their desks to go stare out the window and say "oooh" and "ahhh".
- A haboob is not the jerk who just cut you off in traffic, but instead is a huge dust storm that rolls through town, dirtying cars right after it has rained just enough to make the sand stick.
