I'm a Goo fancier. Alabaster looks much too institutional, whereas the dark blue of Goo is just like looking into the night sky... with a blob of green mucous inexplicably stuck in one corner.

Troo Bloo Goo!
Only one thing though, I'd like to see the <<>> of the journal entries on the blue.
All the best A.M.

Of course - GOO!
Mainly, because it's friendlier for the eyes and has the intimacy I need to communicate.
And the design in Classic Goo is so wonderful different then other sites I know

Greetings
I prefer classic Goo for general viewing. If I want to print something though, Alabaster is better on my printer.

It's the same for me, I use Goo generally except when I need to copy text to word in which case I use Alabaster 'cos otherwise the text is white.

Alabaster for me. I don't like the fonts on GOO. Plus Alabaster seems to make the guide seem more legit and less "nerds only."

I use goo at work, and alabaster at home. It's just because of the speed of the computer at work vs. home.

At the moment I use Alabaster....now that I have dsl I will go back to Goo. It's much easier on the eyes when trying to catch up with backlog.

Alabaster
but I wish there was another choice.

I use Alab. Goo is hard for me to read, slow to d/l and render.
Alab seems an easier skin to navigate anyway...

I tried alabaster for a while because it was supposed to be 'faster' but frankly it makes no difference on my machine so I came back to the one and only original goo. I dislike alabaster as I find it insipid.

Goo.
It's nerdy and 1970's. Not classy and business-like.

Classic Goo fan (as illustrated on my home page ).
I just find Alabaster a bit cold looking- Goo is warmer, unique, and fits the site perfectly. It's just like looking into the galaxy at night (minus the stars, obviously...)

I use alabaster. The thing I view most on H2G2 is my own homepage (call me egocentric), and my chief purpose there is to check up on updated forums. I hate having to scroll down half the page every time I return to my homepage in goo. Alabaster puts all the most important info and functions on top, where they belong.

I like the blue. Partly because blue's my favourite colour and partly because it looks friendlier; Alabaster looks kinda 'clean' (which is a good thing) and 'corporate' (which isn't). Additionally, I know intuitively where everything is in Goo; I have to search around in Alabaster (sure, I COULD learn Alabaster, and will have to anyway, I just want to put it off as I'm about to learn OS X).

Ahhh.. Dull, calming, cooling Alabaster all the way.
That could just be because I'm new, but Goo hurts my eyes, and the layout is -gulp- not nice.

Goo! Strangely, I find the reverse true, pathew. Alabaster hurts my eyes whereas Goo is restful.
