Oh you'd be surprised how anagrammatically correct some
people here really are, mister Stony T Ceucus.

This has been an interesting read ... albeit rather navel-contemplating. Here is a quote of Robyn's from the first page which deserves re-quoting:

I agree with all the lists so far. I reckon I know about a third of them on line relatively well by now and quite a large proportion in RL.

No one from the PIIB is here. No wonder the group's so small.
I don't think I saw Kipperonthefloor in there, or Interspark, and I'm online regularly
There's also a few from the girls vs Boys thread either missing or I just didn't see them on the list, Stunning Frenchie and Silvernalot are still online there a lot, I think you've got most of the boys off there.

Are you saying you don't have a personality? I'm online regularly, I talk on the forums a lot, just not the misc chat and similar ones very often. I'm pretty sure everyone on the planet has a personality. Didn't you get on the list?

okay, I'm baffled...
I thought I'd list it the same as Trin's, easier that way, just use the U number and it'll automatically put the list in order, but that hasn't happened
my test - A77458341
Trins - A9436070
is it me, or what. Have I missed something obvious?
For anyone who doesn't know how to look at coding in entries
Go to URL
Replace the A of the A number of the entry with the word test
Press enter on keyboard
Suggestions anyone?

I used to know quite a few people on h2
even invited a few to my wedding in RL
that was one of my odder moments I have to say
but time goes by and I don't think any of them are really on line any more

Looking at the code I'm guessing it's using a lookup table to find the order. If that table's changed since Trin did the other one, then it might be looking in the wrong place. What happens if you change the to
Would that change the order it brings things up?
If is messes everything up it wasn't my fault

Nice to see I made the list! I've become one of those folks who comes and goes in recent years, although I've been here more than you might imagine because I can lurk from work but I can't log on.
As for personality, my h2g2 one is much nicer than the real me...

Emmily,
Trin's list is written in numerical order, whereas yours is in alphabetical - that's the only difference

Emmily (Hello!) - I'm afraid there was nothing automatic about my list: the numbers are in order because I put them in order There may well be an easier way to make that happen, but I'm not nearly enough au fait with the old GuideML to know it.
So it looks like a labour of love but it's actually more like labour-intensive and slightly obsessive nuttiness. Which became a bit unmanageable after a while
(The biggest problem - apart from keeping track of all the numbers - was over the definition of 'active'. After a while, people would post to the page to say they'd been left off the list. They hadn't previously been active within the time-limit, but they then became active in the very act of posting to tell me they were active )
You could just copy my list and knock names off/add names to it? Or is that too unwieldy? The declining reliability of the 'Last Posted' stat on people's Personal Spaces might be a worry too.

Persephone, I tried that, no joy.
lil, the point is I've changed the coding to the same as Trin's so my list *should* also be in numerical order, but it's not.
I've posted on Feedback bug page, just wait now, see what reply I get.

Emmily,
I think Trin 'wrote' his list in numerical order. If you are in Brunel look at the 'reference researchers' on the right of the page, Mina tops the list because she's got the oldest U number on the list at the moment
